Hi,

I heard that non vented hoods were basically worthless.
Things is some of these island ones look pretty amazing and seeing that they cost loooads more i'm thinking they can't be all that bad.
I'm contemplating getting one since there's one on a huge discount.
this the one i mean: pendant vent

Does anyone have first hand experience with these types?

i'm talking bout these lamshade like ceiling mount hoods which are recirculating only (having no vent option at all.)
