Some of you have been debating about Apple. I found this piece of new...

BITG Research's Walter Piecyk cut his rating of AAPL stock from "buy" to "neutral" in a note to investors on Monday, saying that telecoms are growing weary of paying high subsidies for the iPhone with returns that don't match Apple's high margins from the handset.

I agree that, in the next 1 or 2 quarters, AAPL price will continue to defy gravity. Apple just started to sell CDMA iPhone in China this year, and we expect it to do really well. But on longer term, Apple's success will hinge on whether it can regain the lead in smartphone technology, and whether iTV will be a hit.

Now, people expect Apple to launch iPhone 5 (or new iPhone) in June. But there are also rumors which say that iPhone 5 will only be launched in October. If that turns out to be true, I expect Apple to lose market share, at least in America. Also, many potential buyers want a larger display. But for some reasons, Apple may stick to the same old 3.5" display.

If you own AAPL shares, you may want to be more cautious now. Samsung has just launched an 'iPhone killer'...

Don't laugh. Your next iPhone could be nearly as big...

An unverified report claims Apple has begun placing orders for a 4.6-inch Retina Display bound for the next-generation iPhone that could launch as early as "around the second quarter."

Reuters issued the report on Wednesday, citing South Korea's Maeil Business Newspaper. An unnamed industry source reportedly told the Korean publication that Apple has chosen the larger display and has already begun ordering the part from suppliers.

There are certainly lots of people who want a larger phone...

Strategy Analytics looked at a number of smartphone owners in both the US and UK and found that, when presented with the option, almost 90 percent would go for a device with a larger display. The 4-4.5-inch range was described as the "sweet spot," though the one sticking point for most users was that the device still needed to be thin.

Even iFans are no exception...

The survey revealed that around 48 percent of the 572 respondents want a larger screen for the iPhone 5 with around 17 percent opting for the 4G LTE support. Another 17 percent of the respondents indicated that a better battery life would be the most important requirement if they would want to upgrade to the iPhone 5. Only a small number of respondents have pointed to the iOS 6 as a major consideration for upgrading to the upcoming iPhone 5 of Apple.

Is AAPL's surge related to the bond issue?

Apple taps markets for record $17bn funding

Computer giant Apple is asking investors for $17bn (£10.9bn) to help fund extra payouts to shareholders in the biggest ever bond issue by a non-banking company.
