The Registration includes a lot of questions and pages of documentation and some of the trading is limited to years of experience.
How does one start US stock market trading? At first I thought you just need the money to begin with.. Its not so simple is it?
I remembered playing "UMO" and made some bucks from it and got myself interested in US stock trading.

Does anyone have some serious guideline on how to start? (which includes but not limited to professional consultation, to begin with)

This the update on AAPL just an hour ago. According to the report, AAPL has a higher chance of winning.

A ban on Samsung will shoot AAPL to another sky high level.

Added on August 22, 2012, 9:16 pmCoach, Inc. to pay out dividend on month of October,
buying it now will get you a $0.30 per common share.
Moreover it is currently close at a 5-days low of 50.04.

What are your thoughts?

Agree, but we as consumers would know the obvious.
Only the jury will be fooled. That is why I say a higher chance of winning.

But Samsung defense is, I hereby quote-unquote:
"Rather than competing in the marketplace,
Apple is seeking a competitive edge in the courtroom," Verhoeven said.
"(Apple thinks) it's entitled to having a monopoly on a rounded rectangle with a large screen. It's amazing really."

So by saying this, My LG television does look similar to my Sony TV biggrin.gif

Is this for trade only (if you're looking at 5 days)? Chart looks pretty bearish...  hmm.gif
Div. yield of only 2.10% - imo, not attractive like others.

Yesterday Coach Inc close @ 54.83. If you bought it and can hold till after 6th September, it means you bought the share value of 54.53 at that point.
1month high is at 62.
3 month high is at 70.
Low at 48.

I think some people have said J2T has horrible uptime, response and bad customer service. Unfortunately, I don't know if true since I don't use 'em.

Depending on how often and size of your trade... certain commissions plan (eg. from MBTrading) can be worth it.
Eg. MBT just charge me $1 for each 100 shares to trade. But, if you've large volume, look for flat-rate prices (eg. TDAmeritrade.. $10 commission for 1million shares in a single transaction laugh.gif )

Which platform do you use?

AAPL shares going down today. News on its supplier factory got temporarily close down due to 40 workers injury,

Already looking @ 2% drop from pre-market quotes.

Looking to get in @ abt 679.00

COH went up to 62 , now down to 56 made good money from trending changes.

Wow! Look at the madness of the long lines of AAPL fans.. around the globe. Even crazy Wozniak lined up in Australia to get the the phone 17 hours ahead of US.  I'm not sure what so great about iPhone 5 since it is playing catch up anyway, and disappointing. But, one must acknowledge AAPL price is a monster now.   laugh.gif
*
Oh well, have u heard of a teen in China who would go all the way to SELL HIS KIDNEYS to get an Iphone?
I doubt its about how good the phone is anymore, its the Brand.

Moreover, from a marketing point of view, the best marketing strategy is people talking,
I myself wouldnt go to an extend in comparing inches of detail from different phones, but oh well, why go against the trend when you can make money out of it? c:

Added on September 24, 2012, 9:47 pmA turnover for AAPL when it announce that iPhone 5 breaks sales record of 4s.
Nowonder Tim increases it's target higher .
Looking at a bullish trend after the drop till Earnings report.

I've covered a bit yesterday and added a little long yesterday during $SPX = 1430.
Now, selling into the China support rumor to take money off the table again.  smile.gif

Got to watch 1440-1445 area. If this breaks back up, I'll wait till it goes back to 1460 area before
shorting again otherwise grabbing a few TZA here should be ok.
Be sure to set the your stops (perhaps around low $14).  Good luck!

I manage to Long @ 1431, bulls away!
Collecting profit @ 1450,
invest 14.31, gain 20 dollars. over 100% return! *fingers crossed*

AAPL shoots up to 667.. from 660 ..
Didnt manage to enter!! ARGH!!

I will continue to sell AAPL into the earnings... I expect the 3rd Q result will be a disappointment. The iPhone5 sales
was less than stellar.
*
I couldnt agree more. Even their forecast is lowest this year. only 8.88% EPS
Even if it hits 9%, the price most probably will adjust to $600.

During Q3 which EPS estimate was 10.37, and actual was 9.32 on 24th July, share price drop from $600 to $574 due to below estimate.

I would agree that it is a good time to short it for short term profit till 25 OCT (earnings report)
However I do not short good stocks smile.gif Would stay in the sidelines.

1. You are the one that need to educate yourself on options trading. I am initiating a Feb Bull Call Spread. Time decay will not affect me. Let me know if you need some help/links. Why Feb? Because it is after Q1 Monster ER.
2. I am not trading AAPL, this is a medium term buy with limited risk at this price.(You would have know this if you understand what is a Feb Bull Call Spread)
3. You put down so many subjective negativity on Apple saying the stock will trade down to $575- 580 and you have just done a day trade? Why not hold it in a medium to longer term since ip5 is such a inferior phone/product? You need to capitalise on your own analysis.
*
Guys . Relax, I believe we all have our strategies . Looking at both of your argument, both of you are using different strategies to rake profit.

Maybe AAPL will reach another all time high in Feb.

But based on a chart analysis in these few weeks, AAPL is not doing very good. it has gone below the 20mVa line and I am looking for a further downtrend . The next support level is $615. Hopefully I can get some $$ out of here.
