FB shares are really made a huge impact on China's RENN.
I got raped by RENN as what FB pre-IPO investors are.

LVS is now seems to be attractive again.

Apple is doing well despite the poor outlook. Big boys sold down Apple from 630's until 530's and then when the VOLUME slowly faded away, they buy it and then produced a BUY CALL. This is what u may call as dissipated/dissolute.

Agree. RENN got raped because of same sector as FB (social networking).
But, FB now got a support here around $30. The big boys are supporting it including evil Morgan Stanley.
Don't give up hope on RENN yet. I think it'll come back up but you got tons of sellers at around $5 now.

AAPL bulls and bears are fighting it out here between $550-$570. Let's see how it goes first. But, if it dives to $530-$540 area, I'll jump to the bull side.

I took another bite at LVS yesterday around $46.60. But I'll sell it if it gets to $48/$49 again to get some cash there.

All eyes on Euro and also China. China's PMI data just out, pretty ugly. Got to watch it. nod.gif

I'm staying on the sideline for LVS. Not touching it, awaiting the sweet spot at $45.
For APPLE, will buy mothershare and PUT Options to cover it.

Yes.. that's another way to protect your investment.

I'm going to try to see if I can short the 515-520 June PUTs by next week (get the premium), only if we'll get another -1% to -2% pullback on general indices after the long weekend. Maybe Europe will brew up another scare..

I've cashed out of my LVS holdings.. at around 48 level. Better to hold cash for the weekend.
I'll play again if it dives back to 45/46 level.

Do read it up. Trading is like KLSE but the best thing is very liquid market, you can trade it like FOREX (long/short) positions, have OPTIONS, ETFs etc etc

Z: Are you also watching MPEL too? I was keeping it on my side watch only.

Good support at low $12 at the moment. Seems to be forming a nice base around here.
If it dips below $12 again, I'm going to grab some.

Oh yea thanks! I was keep finding in V4 for those links and I can't find any. Thanks a lot! Actually I am looking for opportunity to trade options.

I've seen that just2trade offers a very low brokerage and option fee. Is that platform good enough? Some people say the trading platform it provides is very minimal.

Mooncake, you seem always making money. I'm just being straightforward: You have never ever lost money thus far, I mean these few years?

Yes, on my watch list, as per share ROI on MPEL is better than LVS.

Its sufficient for non-day-trader. What else you need?
As an active day-trader, you can open with mbtrading.com

Of course I did lose money. No one is perfect. There are those bad trades that I have cut loses the moment it goes
against me. 09 3rd Qtr, I was down 15% - because I misread direction of the market, but made it back the following Qtr plus some gains.

Biggest loses was my rookie year - 00-01 (dot com bust)... -70% doh.gif
Biggest gain was the worst year of the market (08-09) but good for bears... + 250% laugh.gif

Hey guys, good afternoon. Noticed most of u are buying options instead of the shares themselves. Is it mostly because of the expensive US stocks? And once u made a call on the option, u guys will most definitely sell it off immediately (contra) right?

In addition, there are different options prices and each of these options carries different premium, which makes it more interesting.

woot, i thought Lehman Brothers!

Options :
1. Trading options is more like betting on horses at the racetrack. Some win, some breakeven and some cases loss.
2. Best options to trade is Apple.
3. As hedging to main stock.
4. Cheap entry compare to main stock.

Haha, I made this account during the collapse of Lehman.

By cheap entry, u mean u dont hv to pay the hefty brokerage (eg transaction costs) right?
