QUOTE(Myoswee @ Mar 13 2013, 08:33 AM) Will tonight low of 427 hold tomorrow? I hope it does, then it will form another higher low and continue to the upside. Could be difficult to hold the low because of the pending new phone launch by Samsung tomorrow. AAPL could break 419 if new Samsung phone looks like another winner. I`ll probably short some out of money calls to play along.

Seeing AAPL low 425 holding here.. I'll sell the 445/440 weekly calls spread here to get some pocket money. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Mar 14 2013, 12:04 AM

QUOTE(countdown @ Mar 14 2013, 01:54 AM) Call 433.55, stop 432.50 but only 2 contracts filled to join the rally, the rest lost in cyber space. Out 434.16 ---------------------- Wow, long shadow, thank goodness got out earlier, if not become part of stops collection  Darn..Right on the money .. AAPL got back to 434'ish. A day too early for me. Anyway, sold the 440/445 calls for 1.30. Hopefully expire worthless here by Friday. Here's what I'm seeing so far. Potential profit opportunity if AAPL can close between 420 and 440 this Friday. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Mar 14 2013, 04:49 AM

QUOTE(netmask8 @ Mar 14 2013, 11:40 PM) Let see how it goes.. Buy when it is on dip. MGM Damn Kerkorian pumping MGM.. QUOTE(countdown @ Mar 14 2013, 11:16 PM) the signal is clear for a reversal, bull, profit target @ resistance around 433. Still holding my bear call spread 440/445 from yesterday. Added a bit of bull put spread 420/415 at open to try to surround this trade. I win if AAPL can close between 420 and 440 tomorrow. Hopefully, Skynet can sleep through this and no major news to shake things up.

QUOTE(countdown @ Mar 15 2013, 09:19 AM) for a weekly option, how many days do you hold, days left and must let go before expiration? The bear and bull vertical spread that you hv opened are weekly option? Initiated position on Tuesday, added more Wednesday, holding on here Thursday.. just one more day to implosion. Yes, weekly only. That's why I become a seller. Easier to make money and let it melt as long as stock price stay within the boundary. See my chart earlier.. (top side: 440, bottom side: 420).

QUOTE(countdown @ Mar 15 2013, 09:58 AM) one day to implosion, no assignment risk? Samsung Droid user here as well. Switched frm iPhone 4 . Of course.. there is risk.. if there is suddenly a big move above or below the boundary by closing tomorrow, max loss is limited to the difference in the strike prices minus the credit that I've received. I'll be watching closely tonight.. and ready to click close position during market time if it appears to move close to the boundary but I can't do anything if the big boys decided to gap up or down premarket.

QUOTE(Myoswee @ Mar 15 2013, 09:12 PM) Big gap up on aapl I'm out flat on the top side of 440 .. too close here. Darn. Still holding short on the bottom side (420/415). That's why I said I hate those gaps.. can't do anything. Going to try to double short 445/450 and see if I can make up for it later.

Ok.. successfully rolled up to 450/445 calls, lesser credit per contract pair but doubled up my contracts here. This POS better stay BELOW 445 by closing, otherwise I'll be real pissed.

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Mar 15 2013, 10:55 PM) So where is US market now? Take a look at these charts: SP500 and KLCI YTDSP500 and KLCI 1 YearI think US market now a bit over-extended... now but money seems to be flowing in. Be careful here. QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Mar 16 2013, 12:44 AM) We gonna will have at least another few years of low interest rate, so I do think the stock market is at fair value level. Just my opinion anyway. Yes, if you mean "fair value" = PE, it is still below historical average. Also, definitely if Fed keeps their feet on the pedal, it will go up. But, the balance sheet and GDP growth divergence however tells a different story.Whether investors wants to pay up for PE expansion depends on sentiments too. It can change very easily. Anyway, tonight managed to scalp the profits off the AAPL last 445/450 leg. Almost got bitten badly after the gap up.. This post has been edited by danmooncake: Mar 16 2013, 04:20 AM

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Mar 16 2013, 10:00 AM) I boguht AAPL at 42x. But bottom or not I dunno la, I dun buy a lot. Just trade for fun in this stock. 42x should ok.. but watch for another re-test to that level and just move your stop higher to lock in profits in case bears come in. I think it will because it will try to consolidate with a pull back with the general market later. The next pull back would be good to buy.. The weeklies and dailies are forming a good base here. I'll continue to day trade and perhaps sell the weeklies options here.. yeah, next week with the mini-options, that should be interested. Much lower margin to play.

QUOTE(countdown @ Mar 18 2013, 11:12 AM) maybe today's a good pull back? But Cyprus only contributes 0.25% of Euro's GDP, why the big movement? perhaps another game of push & pull "should or shouldn't Cyprus stay in Euro"? Yes.. will buy the dip for AAPL. Uptrend still intact. Short term target 460.

QUOTE(yok70 @ Mar 18 2013, 09:55 PM) Only two green in my watch list. Apple, and Gold. Both of these seems to be the inverse of the general market now. If market tanks, they go up. If market goes up, they tank.

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Mar 18 2013, 10:56 PM) Panic in one Significant financial institution can cause a lot of other financial institution panic too. It is interesting to see such drastic measure taken by Cyprus govt.. they raid the banks for their financial problems. There will be dash for depositors to take their money out.. even for guarantee depositors: Below 100K Euro: Tax 6.95% Above 100K Euro: Tax 9.9% A lot of Russians hiding their money in Cyprus now have to run there and get it out when banks open. Their banking system has lost confidence already.

QUOTE(foofoosasa @ Mar 18 2013, 11:19 PM) Their bank account is frozen is not mistaken. The president say it will be collapse of Cyprus banking system if deposit are not willing to share the burden. Innocent depositor pay the bill... When I heard the news, I was like .It seems like more and more banking facing problem in Euro now. It is like an slow heart attack. I think what people scared now is the possibility of bank run happen in other Euro bank too... Too bad the US banks rates are low and taxes are high.. otherwise those rich folks will pour money back into US. Anyway, they still got Singapore, Bahamas and Swiss to move their money around.
