Hi guys, im looking for a replacement for my Compaq Presario CQ42, and i have too little time to do any survey in the market, so i really need ur help and suggestions to narrow my scope, plz help..
Below are my preferences :

1.Budget: ~2.6k
2.wont heat up so easily, at least in a normal usage(Presario CQ42 did heat up very fast)
3.as silent as possible(fan)[again, Presario produced a lot of noise even i juz surfing the internet]
4.14-17'' is fine
5. weight is fine
6. with or without CD ROM is ok
7. RAM at least 4GB

Basically im still a oversea student and the laptop will be used most of the time in surfing info on internet and of course, sometime for gaming purpose, like left for dead 2? but not hard core game~

my friend suggested me Lenovo Y580 but it seems to me it is quite expensive like around 3k? Is it true, can anyone enlighten me in this?
