My laptop seems to kaput. Damn Dell Studio!!!

Now hunting for new laptop. Eyeing at Lenovo Y480 but is there a new version coming out?

I am not sure about the specs too thats why im referring to this catalog haha

Lenovo website did not provide much information lol even those pictures are old one doh.gif

Just checked, the GT635M ones have USB3.0.
So there's a high probability that the GT630M one has it as well (but then are you really going to pay more for less?) brows.gif .

Bro, why we only got 1 variant of S300? No at least i3? sad.gif

How bout U310..is there any issues on this model? Is it good?
*
I was very keen on the i5 variant of the S300... until Lenovo Malaysia decided to mess it up by bringing the lowest end variant here sad.gif

i honestly dunno why all these computer/IT companies decide to shit all over us in the malaysia  when it comes to their products, always choosing to release their shttiest models all the time.
*
Well, based on what I've heard, many brands do conduct preliminary surveys and from there, decide which type of products will have demand, and which won't hmm.gif

I guess most brands see Malaysian consumers as those who want "cheap and big" products only sweat.gif

2  months and counting smile.gif I wanted to buy one (3560) online since early Oct12 (for cousin). End up having to call Dell to get it  sweat.gif Have been checking on the site from time to time to see what is going on. Really strange. At first I thought it was to refresh line up for W8, but all the other lines (consumer and business) did not face the same treatment. Inventory issues in Malaysia maybe?
*
Lack of demand perhaps? haha
Or is something new coming up? brows.gif

Lack of demand? Maybe. I find lots of SMEs in Malaysia either still buy desktop or opt for cheap consumer line laptops.
But please Dell, don't pull this out, there is only a few matte screen options left in Malaysia  sad.gif

Can consider this one:
14"
Asus A45VS-VX026H, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT640M@RM2199[2.4kg], 2GB, 1TB, W8

Use remaining budget to upgrade to 8GB RAM nod.gif

My wife work in a travel agency. Her company get "sponsored" with V131, she is using one. Sometime she brought it home. I find it get uncomfortably warm at the keyboard area after short period of use. I suspect dust built up, but hey I am not going to clean up her company laptop smile.gif She claim she never feel anything in her office (air con)  laugh.gif
Yeah, the built quality, matte screen, keyboard is good. And the price  thumbup.gif
*
Wow, din't know you are a married man laugh.gif
You must be a businessman judging by the amount of time u spend here laugh.gif
Your wife's V131 is probably the i5 variant I guess laugh.gif
I really liked the V131 (i3), it would be perfect after throwing in an SSD... its just too bad they don't offer Ivy Bridge refresh haihs....
And even the current Dell 3360's specs suck sweat.gif
