thanks bro. but i want sony or asus only. but i found that asus laptop is so heavy.
how about sony series s?
*
Sony
I manage to dig out these two from the official sony website

http://www.sony.com.my/product/vpcsb26fg

http://www.sony.com.my/product/vpcsb28gg

both are 13" and fits your budget

however from a graphical stand point it's much weaker if compared to the gt540m available in the xps15

but considering that you are just playing DotA and Call of Duty with it, could be just ok for you

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD...0M.43075.0.html

Asus
These two ASUS do not have backlit keyboard though
Both are 15.6" weighing around 2.7 KGs
Not sure about the price of Asus though, the price i gave could be outdated or changed

Asus N53SN -SX243V - 3.4

Asus N55SF-SX047V - 3.7 (saw someone on lowyat selling for 3.4)

I need some help.. if lets say I use AutoCAD.. do I need a laptop with a dedicated graphic card or will the intergrated hd3000 suffice? Or would AutoCAD be more processor oriented?
*
I would say get at least a Dedicated Graphic Card

Based on the system requirement
Direct3D® 10 technology, Direct3D 9, or OpenGL-capable graphics card† (256 MB or higher video card memory, 1 GB or higher recommended)

Intel card will not suffice, get at least a Nvidia or AMD cards

Nvidia CUDA could help alot in your work

hii i would like to ask ur opinion(s)
budget is under 2k,
usage: uni stuff, spss software.. and mostly gaming really tbh (dawn of war 2, the witcher2, cod, total war, mmorpgs)
brand, mybe not compaq (cq40 is pooo)

any reccomendations? thanks for ur time
*
wow, dude you do realize the power the witcher two, and total war (referring to shogun 2 here) and dow2 needs

i think you should increase your overall budget to at least 2.5k

biggrin.gif

just a few example

http://www.acer.com.my/ac/en/MY/content/model/LX.RNG02.003 = RM 2200

http://my.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Per...A43SV/#overview = RM 2600

for the asus i used this website as the price list though, cant find the official one http://buylaptop.com.my/web/pricelist.asp

the GT540M performance benchmark is here http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForc...0M.41715.0.html

Seen my friend ran shogun 2 on that card, one vs one battle quite smooth settings was at medium though if not mistaken

ran team fortress 2 on high settings

np man, but the thing about the games that you wanted to play is kinda performance hungry so you have to step up the budget abit

oh~~how is the quality of msi laptop????bcuz laz time i used msi motherboard it sucks..4years ago~

im currently using a ge620dx, overall im quite pleased with it

just one thing that ticks me off is how "plastic" it is, maybe they want to make it lightweight but it just feel plastic to me

you should feel the laptop you want to buy whether it suits you
