Sager?Sorry never heard of the brand. Can i buy it on local store or need to order?Asus G53sx seem to be on the radar now.Anyway seem i might drop my budger to 3k and below. Can recomment any laptop that can play game nicely on a 15.6" screen around that budget?Anyway which is better Asus or Lenovo?I kinda like the Lenovo extra tech compare to Asus.Thx for the feed back sifu.

The best RM3k gaming laptop at the moment would be the HP Dv6
Dv6-6001TX, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6770@RM3499 [2.63kg]; Beats headphones *Can get at RM3k without Beats headphones

The alternative, though abit weaker, would be:
Asus N55Sf-S2043v [black], i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB) + 1600x900@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen]; USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer

Well, it depends very much on what you really want:
Here are some that are worth considering:
Asus
N43SL (Jay-Chou edition), i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M (2GB)@RM2699[Bang & Olufsen], *USB3.0, Colors: Gold/Red
N45Sf-V2g-VX013v [black], i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB)@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen]; USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer
A43Sa-VX004v, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6730@RM2999
A43Sv, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM2999[2.44kg]

Lenovo
Y470, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT550M@RM2999[JBL]

*Do take note that the GPU problem with the N45sf still hasn't been resolved completely yet.
So if its me, I'd choose N43Sl or Y470 nod.gif, the latter is more powerful, but then, more expensive as well ~

Budget:~rm3.5k
Usage:student, matlab, heavy traveller,non gamers
Screen:13.3
Must have criteria:lightweight but dont want ulv

I have toshiba portege r830 in my mind. But afraid of the poor quality of toshiba. Any other recommendation?
*
laugh.gif The Portege's quality is not poor yo brows.gif Summore it comes with 3 years international warranty, will come in handy if you're always travelling abroad
Read the reviews yet? hmm.gif http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Toshib...ok.58664.0.html (specs may differ)

Apart from the Portege, there's the Dell Vostro V131 [Not recommending Inspiron 13z due to the lack of a VGA port, which I assume you'll need for presentations]
Dell
Vostro V131, i3-2330M + Intel HD3000@RM2099[1.82kg], W7HB
Vostro V131, i5-2430M + Intel HD3000@RM2299[1.82kg], W7HB
* + warranty extension to 3 years, useful since warranty support is on-site thumbup.gif

Sony Vaio VPCSB26FG, i5-2410M + AMD HD6470@RM3299[1.72kg], colors: White/Silver/Pink/Blue/Black
Asus U31Sd-RX146v, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT520M@RM2999[1.88kg], OD

1. Brand. - Any good brand which makes you stand out in d crowd tongue.gif
2. Budget. - About RM3-5k ( not above 5 if can )
3. Specs. -

At least a good i5 / i7 processor, 4gb ram ddr3 , 500gb or more hdd , chiclet style keyboard or similar, backlited if possible, blueray doesnt matter , powerful 1gb or more gpu , LONG lasting battery, at least standby about 3-4> hours , gaming at least 2-3hours+ , MUST BE 13-15" ONLY. 17 WAY TOO HEAVY..

ps : if it has those usb port whereby it can charge or power up usb devices without the laptop being on , thats a huge factor too tongue.gif ( i know toshiba laptop got )

4. Size. - 13"-15" only, less den 3.5kg.
*
Can consider Alienware M14x laugh.gif
But then gaming on battery for 2-3 hours on a laptop is currently impossible laugh.gif

haha, hi...

Anyone can help me... Which one is better?
Samsung tab or iconia?

The purpose is for mobile, easy to bring, and wifi...
But I like to use for typing and (photoshop... maybe once per month)
*
What do you mean use for typing? laugh.gif
For the Galaxy tab, there's a keyboard dock as well right?

Well, I'm no pro when it comes to tablets, but I guess it all boils down whether you need to do a lot of Office work or not... if you're constantly required to do presentations etc. Having a windows-powered device would be better. If you're only using it for plain web surfing, then the Tab will do as well, summore its faster and more responsive laugh.gif

30GB is really little laugh.gif
If you're not buying in a hurry, perhaps you would want to wait for Windows 8? hmm.gif

1. RRP is RM1899, but then ppl are selling at RM1799 as well, and you should still be able to bargain around RM100 off depending on how skillful you are hehe~
2. Yeah, theoretically everywhere's the same smile.gif
3. What place are you from? hehe.. perhaps you could consider postage?
4. Definitely FreeDOS will be cheaper laugh.gif But then not every model will come with FreeDOS laugh.gif

but i not really have confidence on acer brand..
so this 2 got come with FreeDOS?

AMD llano basically offers more GPU power at the expense of CPU power, good if you're mainly into gaming.
Yeah, both are RRP, prices can be negotiated.
Acer is better in terms of performance lo~
If you're not confident with it, just go for the Asus which comes with 2 years international warranty laugh.gif
