^ Intel HD3000 can play Bluray quality video with no problem. Smooth as arsesilk.

You don't really need a discrete graphic for that. laugh.gif

I want to ask which laptops below is the best in term of performance,gaming,reliability,usage of softwares such as solidworks and autocad and worth the money I spend:

Lenovo Y470
Asus N45Sf-V2g-VX054v
Acer Aspire 4755G
*

Gaming Performance = N45SF [GT555M]
Productivity Performance = Y470 [i7]
Performance/Price = 4755G [RM2.1K]

Reliability.. probably Y470 because the build is pretty sturdy. hmm.gif

Brands doesn't really matter bro, it depends on how the user take care of the laptop and a little bit of luck nod.gif
If you're worried, just extend the warranty for 3 years  nod.gif

But exactly how much heavier is the gx 53 than the hp ? And , the new model, when do you reckon it'll be out ? smile.gif
*

According to marcus 6168TX doesn't bundled with Beats headphone. DV6 have 2 memory slots while G53SX have 4 slots.

Weight:
DV6 = 2.63 Kg (with 6 cell battery)
G53SX = 3.92 Kg (with 8 cell battery)

According to Lee sifu, G53SX come with 1080P matte screen while 6168TX with 1080P glossy screen.

i think the new production of dv6 use the same specs as old dv6,but only the GPU is different..they use 6490,the entry level to middle class GPU(class 2/class 3)..not so good about it..6770 is far better,the class 1 GPU..:-?
*

6168TX use HD6770M while 6167TX use HD6490M.

6167TX = RM 2,899 <---- from HP latest Promotion.

N55Sf-S2353v [black], i5-2430M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB) + 1600x900@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen]; USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer

is source and cod modern warfare light gaming? and what is the preffered screen resolution? im really confused right know. dont know whochlaptop to choose. asus u46sv or n45sf. the n45sf has better audio,screen resolution and better gpu. but the u46sv has cooler design, longer battery life and lighter. is it okay if i choose the u46sv? i wish a new u46 will come out with n45sf specs, if its possible
*

It will have better spec than N45SF when Ivy Bridge comes out. tongue.gif

Thanks!
I went to the Shop juz now.. i saw Acer not bad.
but the ASUS shop boss offers me a Demo spec of A43TA, he gives me RM300 discount. After discount RM1499.
I dun know wat is AMD processor. He said this laptop is good for Gaming. The performance is as good as I5. Is it true?
Should i consider it? As my previous post, i need this laptop for normal gaming (dota) and most of the time for Internet (FB).
*

No, the performance out of the box is not as good as i5. laugh.gif Only after u overclock it the performance will get close to i5.
But it is good for gaming tho.. @RM1.5K it is quite a bargain.

samsung ok kah? it does offer the lowest price.. is it value for money?
how about other brand?

I heard u like Assassin Creed. If u liek fiddling with drivers and spend some time to get the best out of your system.
- A43TA-VX047v, AMD A6-3400M + AMD HD6720G2@RM1899 <--- still got this model around?
will give you the best performance/price.

Pros:
  • Can undervolt to lower temperature and increase battery life.
  • Can overclock the CPU for more performance. (I'm not sure if the GPU is overclockable)
  • Better discrete graphic compared to GT520M.
Cons:
  • Crossfire driver support could be pain in the butt.
  • No Crossfire support for DX9 game, so Assassin Creed is out. Only can use dGPU for that.
  • PowerXpress need improvement. No indicator to show which GPU you are currently using.
I can't comment on the build quality since i never touch it. doh.gif

If you don't like fiddling with the settings and drivers.. go for Marcus recommendation.

So u meant it come with HD6720G2 but not actually a real HD6720G2? hmm.gif
QUOTE
The AMD Radeon HD 6720G2 is the combination of a integrated AMD Radeon HD 6520G APU processor graphics card and a dedicated entry level AMD Radeon HD 6650M graphics card in CrossFire combination. It is called AMD Dual Graphics or asymmetric CrossFire and uses AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering) to render different frames on the two graphic cores

QUOTE(JunJoe @ Dec 5 2011, 02:56 AM)
what is difference between intel i5 2430M and i5 2450M? does the "2.30 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.90 Ghz" affect the laptop performance? between "2.30GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.90" and "2.40GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.00" , which one is best for gaming?
*

Very tiny negligible performance difference in my opinion. Got i5-2540M in the market already?
