1. No preferred brand

2. Max 4.5k (because of ultrabooks  tongue.gif )

3. Used mainly for document editing on the go, will carry around on the job. FPS gaming here and there. Understated/classic design. Most importantly, keyboard must be as comfortable as possible!  biggrin.gif

4. 13 inch ultraportable preferably. Unless there is a 14-incher that weighs like a 13-inch one...

Currently, in my checklist is the Sony SA series, and the Asus U series. Would like to hear more input about other brands like Dell and Toshiba. I need something that is light, comfortable to use and powerful enough for the occasional gaming.

Lastly, does anyone know of any new releases coming up next month? Since I may only need this notebook by this or next month, so I may wait smile.gif

Thanks for the advice guys!

Its weaker than the HP Dv6 (both CPU and GPU) by a rather huge margin; but it is 14" in size, so can't expect too much laugh.gif

If you can extend the budget to RM3.9k, then the Asus G53Sx would be a rather good option nod.gif

1. Preferred Brand - none.
2. Budget - ±RM2200
3. Usage - I'm a student who doesn't do rendering, so I'm looking for something which has a nice balance to it. An all-rounder. Portability and good battery life would be a plus.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 14" perhaps, or lower.

Thanks!

Thanks again. So basically, at this price range I really won't be able to get anything that is a good all rounder but is also lightweight and portable? It's one or the other?
*
It depends on your definition of an all-rounder actually laugh.gif
I think the Asus U36 is considered as not bad already for that price range, followed by Acer's 4830Tg, but its relatively more expensive nod.gif

hi. im thinking of buying MacBook Air 13" 128gb..
Is it worth it?? or should i buy MacBook Pro instead.?? thanks
*
If you need a very light and portable laptop; and if you're only using the laptop for mere web surfing and normal office tasks, then the MBA 13 would be the better pick..
But if you don't mind the slightly heavier weight (MBP 13 is not exactly very heavy laugh.gif), then the MBP13 would be the better pick considering it has way better specifications nod.gif
