Personally, I think if looks and ergonomics is more important, then Lenovo would be a good choice.
Otherwise, just go for those with longer warranty coverage nod.gif

Thanks guy,
Gaming that I always put to my laptop is MW
I never consider fujitsu in my survey,
But the spec vs price is good,
I will check this model too..

thanks again

The upgraded version (Full HD, 9-cell battery, 3 years warranty) of the XPS 15 is better yo thumbup.gif

Weight: less than 2kg, the lighter the better
Budget: less than RM3,000
Usage: office use
Specifications: full spec

Thanks.

1. Any Brand
2. Budget <3k
3. Illuminate Keyboard, USB 3.0
4. For AutoCad Program + Multimedia + Light Gaming usage

actually i quite like sony vaio C series but then its spec is not as good as other brand with same price range...and some of my friends always said sony brand exp on its brand only...
is that any other brand that have a nice design+color other than black and white...

How about Dell Vostro 3350/3450? hmm.gif
Vostro 3350, i5-2430M + AMD HD6490@RM2636[2.04kg], W7HB, backlit keyboard, Belkin HDMI cable, Belkin Radius 15.6" Backpack
Vostro 3450, i5-2430M + AMD HD6630@RM2577, W7HB,backlit keyboard, Belkin HDMI cable, Belkin Radius 15.6" Backpack

The 3350 (13") is smaller and lighter, but its weaker in terms of specifications (GPU) and sound quality.

As for design, its all down to user preferences I would say laugh.gif These Vostro comes in 3 colors, grey/red/bronze

hey guys!
whats the difference between asus n45sf and n55sf besides the screen size?
other specs are same..
does it mean n55sf (15.6") is the wiser choice?
my budget is around that price
*
There are 2 variants of the N55sf, but I guess you're referring to the i5 variant (RM2799)
The i5 variant of the N55sf rather weirdly has a HD+ (1600x900) matte screen, which is considered as a steal.
So if you're okay with a 15" laptop, then the N55sf (i5) would be the one to pick thumbup.gif

Hi guys, recommendation needed here.

1. Preferred Brand - Any major brand (but i have a bad impression of acer and toshiba)
2. Budget - 3k
3. Usage - CAD (Computer Aided Design) program, Photoshop, moderate gaming (im a uni student smile.gif )
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 14''
5. Others - Min 4GB ram, i5, good graphic system

I initially wanted Dell Inspiron 14R but my bro said dell inspiron is not that good, especially since im using CAD program. hmm.gif

Can consider these 2:
Asus A43Sa-VX039v, i7-2670QM + AMD HD6730@RM2899 -> 2 years international warranty

Lenovo Y470, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT550M@RM2999[JBL] -> Better speakers and keyboard

1. Preferred Brand - Any brand will do..
2. Budget - Below RM5k
3. Usage - Normal daily usage, photo editing, very minimal gaming..
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - Prefer to be 14" below..
5. Additional requirement - must have optical drive..

Currently in mind is Asus U46SV, looks light with reasonable ok spec and also with optical drive (no, I would not want an external OD so many extra thin / light laptops are out). Wonder is there any other better recommendation?

the difference is you

afaik, with Nvidia u'll have support for feature like CUDA and no, AMD current GPUs won't heat up easily.

+1 to Acid's comment~
Nvidia usually has more frequent driver updates. Whereas AMD's GPUs are cheaper hmm.gif

ok guys.. the other day people say in terms of customer service dell is the best... then some people say go for ASUS... so wat do you expert think? im in a dilemma here, im leaning more towards dell, i read at /k/ someone is having trouble with ASUS. give me your opinion plz thx

ASUS A43SJ-COLOR SERIES VS DELL INSPIRON

BUDGET RM2K
*
It all depends on luck and how the user takes care of his/her laptop nod.gif
If you're going for Dell, its best that you extend the warranty to 3 years. Alot of ppl choose Dell because of the superb warranty support~
If you're abit tight on budget, then the Asus would be a great pick as well since it comes with 2 years international warranty as standard nod.gif
