not really like HP because i heard that their laptops gt many problems.
for the asus n55sf, im wondering about the i5 and i7 processor. izzit worth to upgrade to i7 from the price of 2799 to 3699? thank you very very much
*
There's already a lot of HP Dv6 users now and there's no problems with it nod.gif
Summore the HP Dv6 is better in terms of both price and performance if compared to the i7 variant of the N55Sf laugh.gif
Personally I think the i5 variant of the N55sf is better, mainly because of the HD+ matte screen laugh.gif

beside the hd+ matte screen, do u still prefer the i5?
*
For me, I'd prefer i7 whenever possible. But then the price hike for the i7 N55sf is not worth it yo laugh.gif
Just stick to i5, gaming depends more on GPU anyway nod.gif

Pretty much Dell Inspirons:
Dell
Inspiron 15 (N5050), B950 + Intel HD3000@RM1659
Inspiron 15 (N5050), i3-2330M + Intel HD3000@RM1739
Inspiron 15R, i3-2330M + GT525M@RM1999

Though the normal Inspiron 15 doesn't have numpad I think XD

act what is the difference between the i5 n i7 in n55sf? sorry for this stupid question
*
i5 is dual core, i7 is quad core lo hahaha XD
i7 is better in terms of multitasking but bring about no significant performance gain in terms of gaming performance for most games.
i7 is more powerful, thus hotter... and will reduce battery life

rclxub.gif , hmm icic thanks then can recommend me base on malaysia price and spec?

i'll try to find similar one here.

**btw 2nd generation processor better? or is a must?

Thanks again notworthy.gif
*
Yeah, 2nd generation processors are much better, especially when you're into gaming and much resource consuming programs nod.gif

Can consider these:
Asus G53Sx-SZ039v, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GTX560M (2GB)@RM3999, backlit keyboard, gaming backpack & mouse
HP Dv6-6114TX, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6770 + BluRay@RM3799 [Beats][2.63kg], [4GB RAM] Beats headphones, HP optical mouse, HP 500GB external HDD
MSI GE620-DX, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT555M (2GB)@RM2999, 8GB RAM
Sager NP5165, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555M + (1920x1080)@RM3199, FreeDOS [CPU Options: i5-2410M - i7-2860QM]

Thanks a lot sifu, i'll look around for these specs.^^
** on the other hand as the above user said should i wait for the refreshed sandy bridge?
*
The said refreshed involves the upgrade of the i5-2410M processor into the i5-2430M processor, with a minor speed bump brows.gif
If you're buying in a hurry then its okay, you could always go for the current ones~

Hi. Good afternoon, Sifus. Me again.

I will be buying a used laptop, HP Mini 110-3004TU 10" netbook. It was bought in July last year, no more warranty. It is one year old plus.

How much do u think it should worth?

Thanks!!! notworthy.gif
*
RM500 or less depending on the physical condition? hmm.gif
Personally, buying a new netbook would be more worth it since they're so cheap nowadays

Thx for the reply  notworthy.gif

My initial preference was Inspiron 14R but the Asus N55Sf-S2043v seems more tempting  smile.gif

Still, I read that the asus warranty is not that great and dell warranty is the best compared to other laptop.

But dell laptop also seems to have heat problem  hmm.gif

what do you guys think?
*
The Asus N55sf is 15" in size, so in general the cooling would be better~
Summore the HD+ matte screen would be nice to have~

Dell does offer the best warranty support (in-home) so that'll be a plus for Dell laugh.gif
Still, My vote goes to the Asus laugh.gif
