thanks for clarifying. what are the SEP outlets? Is the price higher or something when there's an additional year of warranty?

QUOTE(farscope @ Dec 3 2011, 12:37 AM) nope.. SEP sells at retail price.. they achieved high volume, that's y given the elite status and also special additional 1 year in return.. Just realised that i did not get mine from a SEP dealer but i got a good deal.there's a few around KL, like 1U, lowyat etc.. non-SEP shops usually u can nego lower price.. Thanks again. |

I may have a silly question, is the ram 1GB or lesser? When i clicked on my active application, it shows XXX/724mb.
Under my settings --> Appplication --> running services i see 512mb in total. This post has been edited by silverwave: Dec 4 2011, 02:17 AM |

hi guys, it's been a week since i bought my tab and i have not gotten the case and sp. I've been eyeing on this case called Zenus but the prices differ a lot from shops to shops. Any other recommended casings?

hi, i'm planning to root my device. Do i need to do any backup? (not sure whether all my apps/data will be gone)
Does it mean after rooting, i can update to OS3.2/ use custom roms? Btw, is rooting same as jailbreaking for iOS? |

QUOTE(farscope @ Jan 15 2012, 06:52 PM) nope.. rooting n flashing is 2 different things.. u can flash into new rom but without root too.. Thanks, is it the same method to root a wifi and 3g version? I only can find wifi version online.custom roms now mostly come with HC 3.2 prerooted.. backup is required if u still need all the data inside, otherwise u can redownload.. procedure will be, root -> install titanium backup -> copy all the backup into PC to keep it safe -> find yr custom rom -> follow the rom's installation procedure -> reboot -> recover all apps/data -> done.. different from jailbreaking.. Added on January 15, 2012, 11:08 pm QUOTE(pisces88 @ Jan 15 2012, 09:57 PM) i asked this question oso earlier.. but seems like rooting is just like giving you admin rights to do things ( to my understanding)... kindly correct if wrong hehe, nice... my tab, i got it a month ago but hardly had time to play with it. Now only i'm slowly learning and i rooted immediately when i start it up, so nothing to back up hehe Been using iOS before so it's all new now with Android.
