to those of you who are not sure what it does, here's what it's used for, as found from youtube:

usb jig is a handy tool that:
1. force the handset into Download mode through hardware signal, to allow re-flashing/reviving of a potentially failed ROM/kernel flashing (i.e. semi-bricked).
2. reset custom rom flash count, so that it won't show the count when you want to RMA/claim in case of any disaster happened.
3. to remove the yellow triangle during boot, after custom rom/kernel are flashed.
i9100:
The following notice apply to ALL USB jig users regardless of which seller you bought from,

Does it damage the warranty of the sgs2
*
the use of the jig does not, but the act of flashing/hacking does void the warranty.
rightfully speaking, all kinda hacking/flashing activities voids the warranty, as it tempering the phone from the manufacturer's intended/allowable usage.

the USB jig can be used to reset the "custom rom flash count" superficially to "0" / "No", when pairing with the right bootloader version, giving "better impression" when you try to RMA.
the more important use of the USB Jig is to allow you to go into Download mode, when phone is semi-brick and all other methods failed.

if you check the LYN i9100 thread, it seems that Samsung is not so particular in denying user from RMA claim just because the user has flashed a custom rom / kernel before.

Hi, got my jig today off ebay but i've done everything on the video i.e: turned phone off, insert jig, it boots up but the counter still says 10, any ideas? thehullman@hotmail.com

you might want to refer to my spoiler section in the first post of this thread.

in short, you may have flashed a firmware with newer version of bootloader, which handicapped the counter reset mechanism.
what you could do is flash back the older version of bootloader, and use Intratech's ROM version, or any other version that have removed the new-bootloader.
you can find the old bootloader in my spoiler section. Flash with "PDA" in odin.

yes, provided you have the right bootloader still, powering down the phone, plug in the jig should remove the yellow triangle, if you are on i9100 or i9100G.
