QUOTE(kysham @ Oct 9 2011, 03:45 PM) albnok: didn't know that, since i don't have an A550. I just read early reports that said the Quick-Navi was no longer available. But was pleasantly surprised it is not no longer available, just that it is not evolved already. it evolve, it now look like LV menu, a row of icon on each side of the screen....u still can turn the dail to change the setting <this maintain only. i guess u have the same "idea" that the quick navi suppose to be the old A300 menu style~ up up down down to navigate and turn dail to change... i LOVE THAT too Added on October 9, 2011, 10:32 pmQUOTE(soket @ Oct 9 2011, 07:56 PM) izzit stupid to buy a rm120 uv filter?? my MRC filter is rm599 This post has been edited by ieR: Oct 9 2011, 10:33 PM

QUOTE(kysham @ Oct 10 2011, 10:41 AM) the a77's evf is a huge improvement over the a55's unit, but I think it is still behind the OVF of the A900 / A850 which are among the best out there for full frame cameras. it is bright and big, but just not as real as an OVF. and I would be a fool to expect it to be. An EVF is still an EVF, is still an EVF. But for normal shooting, I think it works brilliantly. I had shot for about 1-1/2 hours with the A77 in a studio environment and it worked beautifully. I adapted to it pretty quick. I don't think there should be any issues. wait till u shoot under non studio + non daylight environment, EVF blows me away after 1 whole day tested (scouting for shooting location), beach sunset WB can been seen and knowing what color you going to get is a big plus, and tricky light environment, indoor etc, its great!

albnok: thanks i am coming back alive~ back to shooting girls again its been a while i last shoot... (ever since i join workshops) guys: not quite true, zeiss will make optics for sony, most sony lens are designed by sony themself, then the optics, is base on sony's requirement, the optics designed and build by zeiss, not the other way around. sony "uses" zeiss optics. not Zeiss makes sony lens. so its SONY decision to make more zeiss lens or not. Zeiss are still a optic supplier. 16-80 is totally diff then 1650. if i were to go traveling to taiwan, i rather bring just one 16-80 then any other lens (16105 is great too, BUT....) i can imagine how light i can travel with 1680+A35! but travel journal is never about super sharpness, but rather moment and reach. so again, it depend what you are "needing"(practicality) not what you 'greed'(spec)... greed? of coz i greed for 300F2.8... but i dont need it =.= Added on October 11, 2011, 1:01 pm» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « more hereThis post has been edited by ieR: Oct 11 2011, 01:01 PM

QUOTE(kysham @ Oct 11 2011, 04:06 PM) Sony propose a lens design to Zeiss -> Zeiss agrees/reject to the lens design proposal -> Sony do the engineering work, with input from Zeiss -> Sony manufactures the lenses < Zeiss make optics base on the specfication then supply to Sony, hand assemble by Sony (zeiss trained/authorized) assembler but how ever it goes, still, sony wouldnt make it this far without close relationship with zeiss. but knowing sony, they only buy from themself or own it. so i highly believe they have deep relation with zeiss. i seen some medical equipment build by Sony with Zeiss optics inside. but sony wouldnt make stupid moves also. because a single decision affect 20 years to come. that why the 1680 will stay.

Jimlim: thanks. and, there isnt a prefect camera, but "a perfect bonding between you and your gear." pick one and shoot. even many of the pro here owns the old A900 which has *ehem* terrible iso, are able to make it even further then just iso... just get one, and spend the time learning to shoot better then wasting the time wait wait wait wait for the perfect camera. knowledge gain during time wasted if far greater.

alphazal: IF Manual Controls, yes, 43 has more option. if technology/spec in Auto mode, both more or less the same. get F58 for better cycle time. overheating is when you set your aperture to F8 (higher) and burst non stop. or iso200 and burst non stop, which you are doing it all wrong.

limsaiseong: the delay is not cause by evf, but programming issue with older SLT. the new SLT apparently people claim it was solved. we are still hoping for a firmware update to fix it.
Added on October 13, 2011, 11:50 pmwilliam: so out discussion other day... how? if u A77, i think i go 77 liao >.<

deadangel: try reshoot another set in the green AUTO mode.
i dont think is overexpose, its seem like A77 WB is more accurate white, or its missing red, while the other camera pic up a lot tungsten/magenta
