Hi all, very nice thread!!

I'm trying to figure out if a x2-setup or 1xE would be possible for system: acer aspire 5738ZG.

When opening the bottom cover I can see two mpci-e ports. As I swapped my wifi card (from p2) it showed up on p3.
My understanding is that I can't use p2+p3 for a x2 setup?

Since p3 are free, maybe a 1xE could be done if p4 is empty (and physically connected)?
What is/could be the advantage of x1E over 1x and how do I implement it?

EDIT: If x1E would be possible on port3, would that force p1 to be x2 which would disable p2 (where my wifi is connected)?
