Instructions of FiiO product modification
2011/12/22

In order to provide better products and packages to you ,FiiO will make some changes to some products. The following are details:

1.Some new items ( such as E10,D3,D5,E9 etc.) are all provided with gold-plated RCA socket. Please see photos below.





2.E9, E9i,A1 will use new packages which will be lighter, easier and more environmental.

At the same time, it will save your more shipping freight. Please see photos below.

Note: the new package will be applied to E9 whose date of manufacture since January 2012 . But we need to run out the rest stock for E9i and A1, then arrange to produce the new batch.

3.All products packed with silicone band will be packed with 2 pieces of silicone band in 2012 after all previous E11,E7 in stock are sold out.

4.E11’s battery will be changed to use new battery label, please see photos below.

Based on this video and this site, when the netbook is powered off or in sleep mode, you can connect any source to the netbook's mic-in and make use of the internal speakers.

Question is, can the netbook do the same when it's turned on? If it can, E10 and E17 should be usable.

I think can't. When I turn on my netbook the 'sleep-and-music'-speaker no sound already. source: ipod touch - 3.5 male to 3.5 male cable - netbook sleep-and-music/mic in-line jack

Ya sure? It's made to receive an input from mp3 player and whatnot. What's more for the internal SC to do? I thought Toshiba made it to work as line in i.e. as in straight to the speaker's amp when in this mode.

Now that you mention it, Toshiba could have made it mic-in -> ADC -> DAC -> AMP -> speaker.

Anyway, not that I'm particularly interested in knowing how it works. Since wkkm007 said it's useless when the laptop is turned on, case closed.
