Alza sy dah 2 hari kt sc Putrajaya, tak boleh start pagi isnin. Siap kena tow pg sc, sib baik free. Sedih betul, baru je first time renew roadtax bulan 7 ni, da siap servis n tukar tayar minggu lepas. Dah kete satu ni je. Smpai ari ni, ari yg media, sc xdapat cari punca kenapa yg xleh start. Dia call suh org yg pasang radio suh pg sc Perodua utk Bantu buka balik wiring radio and speaker. Serabut sy, nk pg keje pun susah, tambahan nk balik raya ni.
*
Pertama sekali, Welcome to your worst nightmare...!

Alza ni kan Kereta Mudah Terbakar... Nak buat tambahan kat wiring lagi ke...? Biasanya kalo P2 tak dapat cari punca kerosakan, memang logiknya kena cabutkan kesemua tambahan yg melibatkan pengubahsuaian wiring ni...

Appreciate the input embekism, though I would like to counter some of my own...

QUOTE(embekism @ Jul 18 2013, 10:50 AM)
•    Drive safely. Many car fires are caused by collisions. Driving defensively, not speeding, and following the rules of the road can significantly reduce the chances of a car fire.
*
True, but no matter how safe you drive, there are bound to be idiots on the road with high chances of banging you.

QUOTE(embekism @ Jul 18 2013, 10:50 AM)
•    Keep your car free from trash and other flammable materials. Do you have trash or debris under your car seats or anywhere in your vehicle? Do you carry large amounts of materials in your car? Keeping your car free of flammable debris can stop some car fire from starting and prevent some car fires from spreading.
*
Even some of the sound proof materials stuff in by P2 are flammable, to the point that some owners in MyAlza had DIY their own fire protection sound proof materials themselves, probably for they know Alza is Kereta Mudah Terbakar...?

QUOTE(embekism @ Jul 18 2013, 10:50 AM)
•    Keep a fire extinguisher in your vehicle. We’ve said that not all car fires can be prevent, but small car fires can be stopped if caught early. Keeping a vehicle-sized fire extinguisher in your car can make the difference between a small amount of damage and a total loss.
*
I'll just evacuate everyone and everything on board and let it burn... tongue.gif

QUOTE(embekism @ Jul 18 2013, 10:50 AM)
•    Have aftermarket products, such as stereos, speakers, or DVD players, installed by professionals. The improper installation of these products could lead to electrical fires.
*
I would love to know if there are professionals or "audio engineers" around that are expert in in-car entertainment and can mess around with your wiring without hazards. Most auto-ICE industry players out there employs trial and error concept a la Ah Beng Style.... Audio engineers' POV I guess... With Alza's limited output, I don't think there's any way to squeeze more juice out of your car battery to pump out more bass short of adding one more battery pack. "Split the wires then..!"

QUOTE(embekism @ Jul 18 2013, 10:50 AM)
•    Make sure to have your fuel lines checked regularly. A cracked, split, old, or decomposing fuel line is very dangerous and could quickly cause a fire, especially in the event of a collision. Be sure to maintain your car’s fuel lines and fix any apparent problems.
•    Make sure that your engine is clean and maintained. Again, regular and proper maintenance of your car can prevent a wide array of car fires. A dirty engine soaked with oil could increase the chances of a fire.
*
While this is a noble gesture, however many drivers only know how to drive and not maintain a car. Then again a cracked, split, old, or decomposing fuel line on an at most 4 year old Alza, that's like, wow... QC issue...? We're not talking about a 10 year old car or something, are we...? It really sounds like the Alza does not have any parts that are reliable. All sourced from the lowest bidder. No wonder my Alza drives like a 10-year old car despite being fresh out of the oven brand new.

Bottom line is, Alza is still not a recommended buy if you value life. If you have one, pray it doesn't fail, and don't mess around with the electricals.

QUOTE(xleft4dexy @ Jul 20 2013, 09:26 PM)
Hi,

This thing happen to me just now after I parked my car I heard like water/liquid dripping on a metal thing. This is around engine area. The sound is like water dripping into empty milo tin. Drop by drop, the interval between each drop is like 3/4 second. Kinda funny to hear this suddenly. Anyone experience this? Is it air cond water? Even it is air cond water I think it should drip to the ground and not to any metal area in the car.
Should I be worried?
*
I would say it's normal... Other cars also have that, just that the frequency is a lot higher on the Alza, as if the car ran out of breath after a long strenous sprint... sweat.gif sweat.gif

Dear bro... thanks for your advice. Will try that and see if works.. .apparently direct plug in with the ipod cable, shows connected and charging on the ipod but the HU screen just shown "USB" and when i press "Play" button, "Failed" shown.

Good for you to get your iphone working. smile.gif
*
Does yours comes with the multimedia display, or the standard HU...? Coz mine's standard, and the USB port does not charge my iPhone at all... It's purely for music playback on USB pendrive...

ni kes susah ni... normally kalo nak mod pun kena tunggu sampai warranty habis baru mod... skrg P2 tak nak honor warranty, kena bayar sampai kocek berlobang...

biasanya I tak percaya sangat kat benda2 yg boleh janji jimat minyak ataupun extra power... sbbnya banyak kemungkinan ia akan ganggu kat operasi kereta ni...

I've never waited that long in SC ever since driving the first P2 car 10 years ago... Which SC is this...? Have to blacklist..! hmm.gif

hi guys, did your alza have this brake auto lock ?

means step on the brakes, then all door central lock will auto lock.
*
Mine does, subsequent batches no more... starting from 2012 onwards I think, or maybe earlier...

It's a good thing it does not auto-lock... Kena langgar catches fire, at least the risk of getting roasted and toasted is minimal... tongue.gif
