You can see many mobile phones which do not have a GPU processor but they are working well because their display is lower than 600x400 pixel.

isnt cpu at 2.3GHz faster than gpu at 600Mhz??@@

because processing the graphic is more complex than what CPU does and after a while they understand they need to separate it.
Nowadays GPUs are more than 10 times faster than CPUs and they can they can process the data parallel which CPUs can not do it.

no they are not
Even a 600MHz GPU is much faster than a 4Ghz CPU because as I said a GPU can process 100 lines code in same time which CPUs cannot.

Yes you can make a CPU like a GPU but not everybody need that speed and it will increase the cost of producing and also the temperature.
That speed is needed in some programs like games which you need to process many data in a fraction of second to show on display which we call it fps.

Dear N45SF users,

Good news!

We have already rectified that the GPU underclocking issue was due to graphic card related. Our technical team is working out a new BIOS which schedule to be released before next Friday (16 Sept). User will thereafter require to upgrade their BIOS in order for the notebook to work properly.

P/s: This new BIOS is different than the previously suggested BIOS 215. The BIOS version shall be revealed prior to the release date.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Your CPU@2.3Ghz but only has 2 cores. Your GT540M@600Mhz but has 96 cores. Both are build to work with totally different architecture.

That is right and that is why CPUs can reach 7GHz but GPUs rarely reach 1GHz.
