This question probably has been asked for a couple of times but i dont seem to find a definite answer to my specific needs .

Lets get started with my age . Im 16 this year , weighs about 73-75 kg and 171 cm tall (BMI around 25%) . I've been a jogger for 2-3months in the past but i stopped for 1-2 months . Now , my body seems to be on the average side except my belly . My god it is big ,

something like this , maybe a lil bigger .

But recently , I started exercising again when i manage to get a 2 week free pass to the gym . My frequent routine there so far is :
threadmill for 45mins - 1 hour at an average speed of 8.5km/h
some machinery , ( mostly towards the belly abs , triceps biceps and shoulder ) + ( completely no experience , just followed the instructions on the machine )

And then when i started my small research online , results say that it is not recommended to do 2 things at the same time which is to lose and gain . and btw , after that 2 weeks pass , ill be completely on my own doing some jogging and basing abs exercise . My perfect target would be to achieve a beach-body/model type .

something like this:

I really respect all the people here with your big bulks but i dont intend to be like you guys , just a decent body with muscle and abs here and there , ( you know lah , like those underwear models brows.gif )

Would really appreciate all the advice . Thanks ! thumbup.gif

sorry but i dont really understand all these bb 'terms' haha . when u say train , do you mean by normal routine training or specific training ?

btw , i heard that it is bad to stay too long on the threadmill , maybe about 15 mins with incline because of lack of carbs and energy to do machineries ? ( but i got big tummy lah cry.gif )

forget about the big tummy 1st, that is the last part to tackle in your quest... yes, training mean going thru your routine regardless is weight training or cardio.... adopt a proper schedule 1st, then adjust your diet... for more info, pls read the above pinned thread... all your answer are there...

Dude, if you're so worried about that tummy of yours lose it first then. End of the day, its your body. Do what you want to be happy with it.
I'm sure if we told you to do weight training and eat more you're definitely say no

Psstt...here's a secret.
Underwear models trains with weights just like everyone here.

P.S - Don't worry about getting big. You cannot unintentionally get big. And even if you want to, chances are you won't.

I think most of the people will suggest
bulk up > cut down

rather than
cut down > bulk up ...ergh, you tummy is going back to same tongue.gif

In short, when you bulk with more muscles, it is easier to cut down your body fat. flex.gif

Why did he opened a thread then proceed to reject everyone's suggestion and went with his own idea. I don't get why so much fuss about this and that. You're a newbie, you gonna make all kinds of progress. Just lift and do your cardio and eat right. Don't wanna get big and all that, if it's so easy to get big, we'd be seeing Arnold's all over the street and everyone'd be greeting everyone with "what's up big <insert name here"

which is?

you wont "unintentionally make progress". if u do follow a "wrong programme", chances are: a) you injured yourself b)you see no results, gets demotivated and quit.
