Attached Image My Wife's lagi power Lagi best!

This new varient is definately more comfortable and has a lot of potential of increasing of power and fun...

Using Eibach lowered springs(red) and replica 15" with maxis ipro 195 50 15 was considering the 16" but doesnt make sense as my 2 liter is only using 16" and 2.8 liter was using 17"
Definately would have looked better but I guess comfort was the priority over else.
After changing ,it did feel a wee bit more bouncy especially over the yellow lines at the junction but still has the comfort feel rather than the sport feel.

The only headache was the multimedia unit couldnt figure some of the things untill read the manuals!
Still couldnt get the video to work properly keep going back to the disc screen and the daughter wants to see CARTOON........... cry.gif

Next would be the sound system for the car budgt around 1k only... doh.gif
already have amps just need speakers .

After that would be the Intake system and then followed with the exhaust system... slowly enjoying the fun in transformation process and easy on the wallet.....

Cheers MYVIANS....

AREA51SE ,

Mine the Auto Transmission....

And yes I have modded the Car once it was delivered the same day ... Just my trait cant have a stock car ...and I have been using Taiwan replice Rims for like....................um...

20+ years now .. and I dont find anything wrong with it..as you need to know what you are looking for the only bad experiance was using a 18" on my 2.8 which was just to fragile... and then switched to 17" european.

You will need to get the ones without huge offset, large extended lip or if the spokes only extend all the way to the end and not the light version where they would show 500+kg as some would show 600+kg thats the impact it can withstand or ................................stop driving aound like a rally car champion and really miss those potholes.

Evn my Enkei rims (Thailand)would bend with a lagre pot hole which happenend to my Nabira and had to send to machinist to repair and now its good as new.

and guys thanks on the DVD ill test it tonight with my daughter again..

Hope that helps...

I think the video/dvd will only play both visual/audio when handbrake is up. otherwise it will keep playing but screen will only show the 'disc' screen.
*
Thanks cybergear03,

fixed the problem at the accerories shop with an override at the hannd braks.

@bulldog2: did ur car touch the ground when go to bump with lowered spring?
Carry people somemore?
Last time i oso lowered but sadly change back to stock, cos evrtime hear the sound feel uncomfortable.
*
rest,

sorry for the late answer couldnt answer till I tested with 4 family members at the back seat......

No Problem.... my tires are 195/50/15 offset is +40 and I would recommend the eibach springs as you still have comfort until u driver it hard and fast thats when you really feel the rebound rates on performance springs.

I still have a gap of 3 fingers at the rear and 2 and half front with full people the rear becomes 2 fingers.

I am happy with all the information I have gathered here at LYN..but lots of reading...
thanks to all the previous owners who have contributed to a better world.

No, i mean the overall warranty...?? Engine parts, gearbox, electrical etc.... I just need confirmation, if change rim only, so, its confirm only the changed part will loose the warranty rite? Waranty on engine etc still intact??

Cuz have this theory, u face problem, then SC dun wanna provide warranty,.. The said its because the rim that lead to this n that problem... Too heavy lar, not follow spec lar...
*
Ask them to prove that the change the rim have caused the defect on the engine's ,and the right way to do things is write letter officially and I gurantee they would not dare to reply in such manner ,
Lets put it this way I have owned from Wira's to Kenari's to Perdana's and other european cars and none of them have ever given me such problem,

The only time I had was my Perdana did not complete the 3 service warranted and that could lead to void and I quickly sent that for recovery so that I may claim my gearbox.

You are paying 40k and above and not 40 ringgit or 4 ringgit to have a SC give you ^%4 you have what we call cosumer's association.

Now if you Mod your internal engine and other mechanical stuff now thats a different thing.
As I have always done after the 3 service I will start on the exhaust and air intake...and after that its the engine...
BTW MYVI have been around for how long? has there been any defects? or recalls? so I guess you should be worrying bout something else

Hope that helps

Hi bulldog2
Maybe is the brand of spring you use,i am not sure.last time i use stock 14 rims and the front gap is 2 fingers, which cause me when go to bump it will touch the exhaust piping.
Another reason is maybe i am abit fat.
Do u remember how much u bought ur spring?
Thanks

addedon,

nuthing to do with you being fat and I weigh 240+ its the springs there is lot of brands out there and those that give you really low looks are the ones that would probaly give you such concerns .
price for eibach new should be around 900 but I got it here used for around 400.

I stay in puchong,no recomended place for u bro haha i was thinking how is the bmw horn like?how much?
I remember last time really need to take off bumper because the oem one is under there.unless able to change place but not sure.
*
I also changed to BOSCH BMW horns 80 ringgit plus installation and 1 year warranty.
Took of the bumper to install as its has better position for it and since the bumper was off I installed LED at the bottom of the lights and now it looks like AUDI A1 ke ke ke in the day!

And I did it in Puchong as well at kinrara industrial area.

i read the multimedia user manual and found there is 1 cable connect to hand brake, my guess should be when we release the handbrake the cable will touch the ground, so there is a signal give to play to cut the movie off. so if we remove the cable from player should solve this problem. just my 2 cents  drool.gif

lokatoo is develop by TM malaysia if not mistaken and it's oem to local car. so from what i use this few day the POI is funny. example like i click on KFC then the GPS show me the way to 7 11, lol by the way i already update to 3.35 version from the website provide free update.
and the most important thing i realise, only come with malaysia map, and the website provided has no ther country map provided. i'm live in sarawak then at least the give a map to brunei wat, or ppl who live on WM at least give singapore map  mad.gif

i'm driving 1.3 EZ myvi LB, any recommendation on wad other bars to be installed except front/rear ARB?
*
I am having the 1.5 extreme version anlowered eibach springs with 15 I rims 195 50 tires and high speed highway cruise also gives me the float feel and I guess its the weight of the car and will install rear anti roll bar next week to see if I can ger rid of the flotyness or not the only solutions would be 16 in tires setup going into corners really hard currentlyproduces no dipping in the front of the car and hardly any roll in sweeping corners
Also went to cheras and added sound insulation to the fender and boot area reduced the tires sound I the cabin significantly

Maybe foaming the chassis would erase the floatyas it would take the flex out of the chassis
Will update soon

I think the information provided is not accurate as per your HUD reading mine's the 1.5 new (1week old/1006km)
60 ringgit =406 kilometer and the reading on the hud is 9.6 km/l

Hi guys i just picked up my new 1.5 SE with multimedia yest. i pump rm 50 ony got range of 281. fuel light was blinking wen i picked it up thou. was showing avg 4.1 when i picked it up but when goin to work today got around avg 7.7

total distance travelled so far since refueling is around 50km. compare to my 2.0 V6 that gets 240km for rm 50.. i find the fuel consumption for my new car quite high...considering 1.5 engine + small car

cud it be a problem? i also realised the boot and doors need some extra effort to close or wont close properly...any1 suffering the same or is it common for Malaysian cars? my 1st malaysian car btw. lol

build quality looks good for now thou..
*
shalz u r running new car with rich settings which is normal and after your run in period you should see better readings

mine now is 1000 +km and i get 400+ mileage with smooth driving and should improve after 5000 mark this is ecu setting by manufacturers

my rear door is hard to close too and require extra effort 2 and I need to visit the sc to get this settled or external panel beaters can do a better job

kind regards

So how was your rpm level when your car reach 110km/h?

please state your car Manual or Auto gear. Just want to know either my gear box got problem or not.

High rpm = high fuel consumption

Added on November 1, 2011, 4:30 pm
meter is not accurate. They normally calculate base on your speed, engine on duration and also the distance you drive. Correct me if i am wrong. Because i drive others continental car, when on high way it will up to 13km/liter. Stuck in traffic jam will be drop to 8km or 9km/liter,
*
for good FC keep your rev's below 2800 rpm at all gear range even for Conti's

*
new myvi has 16mm ARB and its recommended to go for rear arm same size 16mm .

no roll is for track car and not street car on street you still need certain amount of roll to increase traction and initial & exit steering

so if u install rear 18 mm and your front is 16mm you would loose some initial steering/traction which of course again does not apply in real world driving.

my wife drives this 1.5 on a daily basis and i get to lepak it for the weekend and i love those fast corners and thats why i would prefer less roll for faster entry and exit

most ppl do not like year end because of the time they sell they loose one year...

and the biggest point here is chinese ppl always want new car for the new year... hence the year end car thing came into play

I stand corrected.

no wonder it didn't feel any different...and I am still suspicious of the rear anti roll does have any real effect or not.

look at the picture its so thin!!
and its mounted on the by 2 screw and nut each side without any point holding at the center of the arm.so in my mind how actually does this work at all coz i do not see the flex point at the arm.
Unlike the strut bar where we can see the actual flex point.

roughly how much can the new myvi 1.5 SE roughly run after fuel range says 0?
*
Well if it reaches Zero I cant help you much but if you have taken the time to read your car manual it would have given you this statistics:-

when your fuel gauge starts to blink red slowly you have 95 kil on average and if it blinks fast you have 75 kil.

Now if you want to know how much zero can get you buy a 4liter tank fill it with petrol and test it on your car and let us know too coz we fule up when the indicator goes really fast for 50 kilometers already!!
