the whole process from submit doc to this friday took how long?

Actually I upgraded my booking from 1.3 to 1.5 but from the date I changed the booking, it'll mean that I've waited for about close to 3 weeks.

another bro here that already drop a deposit for his alpine 4" speaker, perhaps bro Okly might wanna give a word or two regarding the type s and j thingy? tongue.gif
*
I'm no ICE expert but from my understanding that day, Type S has a bigger capacitor and if I'm not wrong, it also has a slightly bigger/heavier magnet. Anyway, since Type S isn't a lot more expensive than Type J, can actually consider it since we are not going to change speakers like changing clothes (unless you're super rich). biggrin.gif

Not sure if my Multimedia Navi system is faulty or what, when playing CD randomly it will pause a while before the song continues again (can assure that no shock of going over potholes etc when it happens). Thing is also very difficult to complain since it happens randomly, if they don't see/experience it, then for sure they'll say nothing wrong with it.

Also, it is quite annoying that the player kinda reads CD loudly (when you first put in the CD, it makes a loud noise). sweat.gif

I think I'll definitely change to a better 2-din navi system in the future when a nice bracket for it is available.

Whenever I accelerate harder, the engine vibration somehow causes something in the interior (maybe dashboard) to vibrate/rattle as well. Sigh, hopefully the SC will have a solution for it during the first service.

mine oso... gotta bring go check when going for the 3rd service! so annoying.

So seems like the 1.3 model also have similar issues. Yours is because of rough road or the engine vibration?

I think all myvis has got this problem lar. esp rough road. i tried on the vios, the rattling sound is completely different, i mean very very silent.
*
Rough road doesn't seem to cause it, the engine vibration when accelerating harder causes mine to rattle/vibrate.

QUOTE(kimsim @ Oct 11 2011, 01:17 PM)
Should do a sound proof on internal dashboard and paste lots of insulation tape.

Maybe on the vibration should you change the same type of tyre like vios and the driving vibration will become less and more silent.
All the original tyre from factory is using the cheaper tyre for delivery to you.
Once you change the tyre and do the on wheel alignment this is should help as much for driving steering vibration too smile.gif
*
Well, it comes with Continental CCC5 so shouldn't be as bad as Goodyear's.

Mine is cause of rough road. Not the engine vibration.
*
If rough road causes it then a bit more difficult since sometimes it won't rattle and SC will say everything is fine.

New LB Myvi comes stock with CC5 tyres?

How is it? Really comfort and quiet?

Last time, P2 give NCT5 only... after 75% usage, everybody sing along~  laugh.gif
*
For the 1.3 LB model, if I'm not mistaken only the very first batch got the Continental tires. After that it was all Goodyear.

For 1.5, I believe they will be providing Continental tires as default since some articles mentioned that the CC5 tires were somehow "specially engineered" for the MyVi. hmm.gif

Guys... Can the current ultra racing strut bar that are made for myvi 1.3 fit in my 1.5 myvi?? The chasis is still the same with previous model right??

Myvi 1.5 SE
Auto
Majestic Yellow
Multimedia Variant.
Checking-in.

I've tried to install UR Front Strut bar and Rear Anti-roll bar from my 1.3 ezi. Unfortunately it does not fit.
Different chasis I guess.
Anyway, the air filter is the same. Using drop in "Metal Flow" air filter. rclxms.gif
*
All Ultra Racing bars will fit the 1.3 model. However for the 1.5 model, the front strut bar is not very compatible because of the higher engine block. So when you accelerate, the engine block moves backwards and the air filter box will knock the front strut bar and it causes a 'klok klok' sound when the air filter box makes contact with the front strut bar. The temporary solution for this is to stick some foam tape (don't know exactly what it's called but it's like those sponge type material) to the air filter box or wrap it around the strut bar so when there's contact, there won't be any sound.

So for 1.5 owners who want to get the front strut bar, wait until Ultra Racing releases a new front strut bar. Won't be long more because I was the first 1.5 model to try out the front strut bar (existing Ultra Racing front strut for 1.3 MyVi) from EA Autoworks and found that problem, so after that I drove to Ultra Racing's HQ and they have taken down all measurements and a custom made bar will be made for mine (which I assume they will use this for all 1.5 models in the future as well). They have also took that opportunity to test all other bars and found that it's compatible, only the front strut bar will have to be different from the existing ones for MyVi. smile.gif

I don't think that's the Lagi Power version aka 1.5, should be a 1.3.

Your 1.5 is auto or manual bro?? The brake fluid tank is located at different place... Mine is manual, its located near the absober mounting on driver side... While the autos is located at inside abit near the air filter box...
*
Mine is auto. Since there may be a slight difference with the manual, why don't you go try it? If the air filter box is at the same/similar level with the front strut bar after installing then I can be very sure that the air filter box will hit the bar when you accelerate because the current front strut bar design for existing MyVi when installed in the 1.5, it is too far out that's why it will come to contact with the air filter box easily since there's not much gap in between. I've seen the custom made one by Ultra Racing for mine, slightly slimmer if I'm not mistaken and it doesn't curve out so much giving it more gap from the air filter box.

Nice info OKLY. I've tried to install my rear anti roll bar(from Myvi 1.3) but it is slightly shorter for my Myvi 1.5.
Will give it a try again.
*
If I'm not mistaken, Ultra Racing did revised their design for certain bars along the way for the MyVi. From what I heard, the very first front strut bar from Ultra Racing for the MyVi was a lot thicker and they revised the design to make it less bulky later on. So perhaps it might be a similar case for your rear anti-roll bar provided that you bought it quite a long time ago.

i bought spark plug from outside. Let the service centre change the spark plug.
Becoz we not able to get near the repair area, i fear they will use cheaper version to insert. take away my spark plug.
*
Speaking of spark plugs, the SC quoted me RM180 for a set of iridium spark plugs which I think is reasonable for a SC since I think the average price outside would probably be around RM150. Forgot to ask which brand they are giving but if they follow back the image in their accessories catalog book then it should be Denso.

Ultra Racing's HQ called me today to inform that my custom made front strut bar is ready to be fitted. I assume the same design has also been released to their dealers. smile.gif
