Guys... I need help... I'm currently using a LG 23" IPS display and I have problems connecting my laptop or PS3 to it...
The monitor kept staying in power saving mode.... I've tried changing the cables and trying to connect multiple devies... Still no luck...
What's the solution?

QUOTE(lex @ Aug 14 2012, 03:54 PM) Which (exact) model is that? Have you tried connecting to a desktop PC? Which cables have you tried? I'm using this model http://www.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-IPS236...escreen-monitorI'm using it to connect to my MacBook pro... The weird thing is, it can connect to my MacBook when I boot windows on it but not on Mac OSX... I've even tried connecting it when my friend's MacBook... But I can connect it to my friend's monitor(exact same model) without any issue... You guys have any idea why? This post has been edited by zXJaMeSXz: Aug 14 2012, 07:27 PM

QUOTE(lex @ Aug 14 2012, 07:49 PM) Which cable did you use? Is it VGA, DVI or HDMI cable? Have you tried reset to factory defaults option (available on most monitors)? Could be display resolution, refresh rate as well as cable problems. Worst case of course, could be the Dcaler mainboard problem (e.g. firmware issues). As mentioned earlier, try factory reset and see... I'm using a mini-dvi-hdmi adapter and HDMI cable... I've tried factory reset too, no luck =( It's just weird... If I could connect it with the same laptop just booting up using windows... It should work... Maybe I'll try a clean install of my Mac OSX
