Elo... One more question.

I am building a new rig with i5 2500k and bla bla bla.

should I get LED or LCD or doesn't really matter?
If 24"... which one best performance I should get?
If 27"... which one best performance I should get?

Er... price wise, I am ok to fork 1k for a 27" but not 2-3k for the Dell one though. He! He!...
Why 24 or 27? Coz sometimes, since 27" might be still new... tech has not catch up yet and bla bla...

So pls... advise pls.
I'll use the PC for gaming, watching movie, photoshop.

Walau eh...

Now only I see the Dell U2710 price.... shocking.gif shocking.gif

He! He! He! So much diff one.

When Dell promo price out... how much lower can it get?

Man.... after searching... seems like I am getting deeper into the bunk hole!
Dell's U2410 is LCD right? Not LED?
And those U2412M and ST2420L are also IPS LED monitors... but seems like reviews didn't give them good grades...
So...

Let's compare money to money can buy situation.

U2412M and ST2420L price seems more relevant to those Samsung or LGs or Viewsonic.

So... in this case... which monitor is better?

Ops... Sorry... I overlooked on the TN for ST2420L.

I know LED and LCD diff... I also know LED very slim. Ha! Ha! In term of outlook.
But in term of performance... I am not sure.
To answer your question (thanks...).
I am going to use it for all rounder. Some games, some movies and surely some photo editing.
I have an iMac 24" now. I also have a old AMD Antlon 939 3200+ running with a Dell 19" LCD. Can't remember the model but it is not the Wide type.

But Anyway... I am building a new rig so planning to get a new monitor to accompany it.
Expected to fork out below RM1k for the monitor but if can go around the RM600 mark, I'd be glad too.
After sales service... hmm... touch wood... I don't mind visit once or twice to solve problem but if gonna be like in and out many times... then surely...
So... that is about it.

Once everything is hooked up, you should be able to enable extended desktop in Nvidia's control panel. Simple as that biggrin.gif

With ATI cards, you can power more than 3 monitors with one card. However, I'm not too sure with Nvidia as I haven't used one for a while.

You *may* not be able to use DVI & HDMI at the same time and may need to resort to using DVI + VGA, or HDMI + VGA. This is especially true with certain motherboard's IGP as they tie the digital output together and only one connection can be used at one time.

He! He! After reading this... I kinda syiok sendiri.
Wanna ask...
If I put up 2 monitors...
When I play game, a fullscreen game, can the other monitor used as doing other thing like surfing and etc?
Coz, then, my old monitor can be utilised. He! He! He!...

For such setup, will it drain the CPU usage? I mean if I built a new rig, i5 2500k, SSD, 8GB ram, GTX 560 Ti GC...
Playing some online game, will it make the whole system too slow or someting? Thanks.
And by the way, the LG IPS236V-PN, can it be wall mounted or I need the orignal stand no matter how...

Ohhhhhh... doh.gif
So, when I alt+tab, that game will be minimise instead?
Was hoping that at 1 monitor, I can surf, MSN, LYN...
Another one the game is still running.
So, let's say an online game, I am farming, I can let it run while I surf on the other one.

So, what you are saying now is... if I ALT+TAB, that game will be minimised eventhough I am working on another monitor but I cant see the game running?
