hi i wanna ask if anybody had this experience :
which one is more satisfiying?
watching movies / tv series while lying down on bed
a) on a 32" LCD tv
b) 23" LED / IPS monitor.
im considering to buy an ips dell monitor, but if the tv is better, why should i buy that monitor

QUOTE(DrBlueBox @ Mar 14 2012, 12:49 PM) Depends. A tv is cheap when you compare price to size ratio with a computer monitor, and would be the best option if you are not using it for pc work. but thrre is a reason for the price differences. sharpness at close range, colour reproduction, ghosting etc are better on a computer monitor. In the end what you will be uaing it as would be the man reason of choosing well i already stated it earlier watching movies / tv series mainly, and gaming / work sometimes. the distance between my eyes and the screen when im lying down is approximately 0.7 to 1.3m i think (just estimate)

QUOTE(DrBlueBox @ Mar 14 2012, 01:43 PM) IPS then, since if you want to work you would like to see the fonts clearly, and not some fuzzy black blob haha the work is not important, its only sometimes. haha so still the ips? This post has been edited by fixgd: Mar 14 2012, 02:57 PM

QUOTE(coklatua @ Mar 29 2012, 04:07 PM) Your 32" lcd is TV or monitor? If TV, it might have low resolution and will effect the text on the screen. Max resolution for most of lcd TV is 1920 x 1080 only. Everything will appear bigger on the TV. If just watching movie is okay I guest. yeah my ty only 720p. well its okay i guess, my dm1 is until 133x768 also. mostly tv series n movies. so no need to get this monitor?

QUOTE(coklatua @ Mar 29 2012, 07:20 PM) Well, it is all up to you. You can test it yourself. Just connect the TV to the computer and live with it for a week. If it satisfy you enough, keep it. If it don't, so next step is yours. I bought a monitor because I have to. I need to replace my faulty CRT monitor. haha been using it for almost a year. so i think ill hold 1st till i need?
