IPS has its advantage and not just viewing angle, colour reproduction wise is way better than the limited TN, especially the grey area and to benefit from the viewing angle you'll see good colour balance through the screen even with a little tilt, especially when you move your head a little to the right or left, you'll see a little contrast/brightness shift from TN but not IPS, this is another advantage of the wide viewing angle, not just for "plenty of people" purpose.
Aside from that, Dell's unit provide full IPS premium functionality such as the "super" leg, of which you can turn your widescreen into portrait mode which enable you to read a whole page without scrolling and able to adjust the monitor height according to your comfort, and also the extra USB hub making life even much convenient, don't you think so?

Anyway, my explanation just for your information, which many of the Ultrasharp users would also seeing this advantage when they deciding on value monitors to choose from, and if you still finds it not up to your taste or you don't need all those advantage/functions then by all means there's plenty of monitor out there. Example would be LG, Samsung (which I won't really recommend unless no choices left), AOC (cheap, value), etc. All of them are pretty much the same, you just need to look at the size, price and the functionality, and decide.
