Man I love dell's warranty. I called them yesterday about my monitor, got the new just now. Everything on the new monitor looks ok. Very happy right now.

Added on September 13, 2011, 12:01 pmaahh great. I guess I spoke too soon. Ok so on a white screen, I can see some bands moving in a wave-like movement. Its not obvious but i can notice it if i find it. Its like i can see the refresh cycle or something like that. Is that normal? If I choose to ignore it, does it have a bad effect on my monitor?

only a day then u receive your new replace unit? shocking.gif

You call them and they will send a courier to your house. Very simple. Supposed to put the old monitor into the new monitor box and return that box to them. But i gave them my box instead.

wow, sounds great! thumbup.gif At the same time, them also bring a new replace unit to you?

Get 120Hz 3D monitor, it should provide very smooth 120Hz under 2D gaming.
Dell Alienware is one of it, Alienware OptX™ AW2310.

I rather get Samsung S23A950D, comes with 3D glasses and 2D to 3D convert function.

Set the preset modes to "cool" then set the brightness and contrast that fit your eyes.

FUH ! Set to preset modes ??

That is TOO BLUEISH !

Come on just use custom RGB tweak until the white becomes real white color instead of tend to brown/blue
*
Mind sharing your custom RGB settings? tongue.gif might be i using too long of cool preset, tried set with custom RGB, but feel too warm for my eyes. rclxub.gif

planning to get myself a 21" something monitor, any recommendation?
budget 400~500

your budget is able to squeeze a 23inch monitor in, try Acer S231HL RM490 from Jayacom.

The Samsung S23A350H led 23"/2MS/H at RM569? Viewnet price

But i bet the sifu here will mostly recommend you top up another RM29 to get the Dell ultrasharp  U2312HM  cool2.gif
*
Take note, Samsung S23A350H viewing angle is terrible and dvi cable is not include, my friend is using this, you better off to LG IPS236V or Dell U2312HM.
