Welcome,

I've been there myself , on many ocassions. I was assigned for a project in my parent company at The Grange , Bank Lane , SW15. Been to Anfield for cup matches, Premiership matches, and UCL (1-2 games). It's wonderful 3 years i had spent watching football Home & Away. When the team travels to London (against Chelsea, Fulham, Spurs & Arsenal), good opportunity , makes my life easier , in terms of traveling distance.

Fowler: “But I am sure that he wishes now that he had given it another six months at Liverpool so that he could have worked with Kenny Dalglish. Fernando is playing like someone who has got regrets. He probably won’t admit it but I think he felt that the grass would be greener at Chelsea and he’s realised it isn’t.

Anyone saw Maxis Football Extra just now? Man, it's amazing how people immediately come into a conclusion that Liverpool is not doing well in this season when they have just lost one match in the start of the season. That idiot JD needs to get lost.
But on the bright side, that hottie Patricia from Maxis football extra is a Liverpool fan.  drool.gif

I have been reading, hearing the sort of conclusion every season. Only thing fan has to take is the positive things from the game.
There's no use of pointing to anyone who'd, probably just reading the comments from a front board to fans, that's his job.

He's not a pundit..ffs!

Mate, you don't need to feed trollers. Ignore them. They may have been making fun of us at the moment. I can sense it.

Btw, i went on and watched the game this evening.

The first half was woeful display with chances created proportionally less than Spurs did. I was surprised to see the possession stats 72-28. I still had faith in the team to go on and get something out of it. Charlie Adam's sending off was the turning point to more disaster. Spurs played some flowing football and kept their momentum till the end. Modric, Adebayor, Parker, VDV, was brilliant.. Misery after misery for us. But i'm taking positive approach by them team tonight with some players who played their socks off like Enrique , Lucas, Downing, but we were well beaten when Skrtel were given the marching order.

Silly and reckless challenge from Skrtel on Bale. So did Adam's challenge on Parker. For me it wasn't a yellow card offense. Suarez has to get his temper down in big games like this. Despite the "heavy defeat" of the season thus far, i take it Kenny would be romping the team again and looking an alternative to lift up the spirit. We can't afford to lose any more points. Coates should start the next game with Agger's injury status uncertain at the moment. Top 4 is still an ultimate target.

You-know-who would be on a rampage this season for another champions crown. We'll see how it goes from here. I'm still positive with the team & the players.

You'll Never Walk Alone

Cheerio!

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Sep 18 2011, 10:43 PM)
Bad day at the office. Spurs started off strong as on any other day we could have weathered the first 15-20 minutes, and got into the game. Today however, we conceded before we could get our game plan underway. We were at our sixes and sevens at the back as Agger was limping about the pitch, trying his best to cover ground despite being in pain. It was an open cross in as Skrtel had to come inside to cover for Agger and it was unfortunate that Enrique's desperate lunge only served to tee up Modric for a good finish. We also contrived to lose Adam at the 28 min mark and that was effectively when the game ended for us. To make matters worse, we may not lose Agger to injury and we'll have Adam and Skrtel suspended. The only good news is that we have a relatively easier match next Saturday against Wolves at Anfield, a week after their 3-0 home defeat to QPR

The bright spark for me was the never ending support from the travelling fans. I heard "Fields of Anfield Road" being sung just before we conceded our second as well as chants of "Dalglish". Near the end, they sang "YNWA". Fantastic support despite the trashing. Let them be an example to us. Hold your head high and show even more support to the team the whole of next week. Continue to wear our colours with pride. Last season, we won only 1 of our first 8 games. A marked improvement already.

I just received a text message from a fellow Reds fan who said "Bro, im officially joining City's fan club from now on".

Maybe we aren't the same people. It was a really poor game and I doubt Gerrard would have made much of a difference given how things transpired. Our problems were at the back and given that Skrtel has almost no mobility, we were always going to be in trouble if he got a card early on and indeed we were.
What an embarrassment. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
*
Exactly, good riddance of fans who has no faith and not being loyal during up and downs. I rather don't have him in my mates list as well.
Getting rid of his contact as well.

Meanwhile, i sense more trolls from "you-know-who" fans here. I hope we could go on and win the rest of the games before 15th Oct.
Just waiting for the encounter with S*ums

We also want to be respectful to Tottenham who played particularly well throughout the 90 mins. WHL it's not an easy place to grab points.
This is a new age Spurs and they are on the run.

On other note, surprise comeback from Fulham , holding mighty City 2-2 at the moment with few minutes to spare.

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Sep 19 2011, 08:28 AM)
Well said. This is precisely what I meant earlier when I cited my case for reminiscing about the past. Lessons and values from the past still hold through until today. Us fans of today shall pledge to do the same. We shall not walk out of the stadium or turn off the telly when the team is playing poorly for that is when they need us the most.
*
It reminds me of the incident during the Gerrard's final 2006. Six of us from my IT team went on to watch the Cup final in a mamak. While enjoying the food , we were stunned with Carra's own goal , followed by Dean Ashton's goal in the space of 8-9 mins (if i recall correctly). I was suppose to be at my childhood friend's wedding on the evening , despite the invitation , i went on and watched the lads , ffs..it's a Cup final, i told myself that i'm not gonna miss it.

We had all breathed well the moment after Cisse scored the 1st goal (with captain's assist). We were frustrated , but were happy with the lads performance. That goes the first half with 1-2 down. We were discussing who should be in and out, while 2nd half kicked off. We were singing YNWA with the fans in the stadium as loud as we could. Gerrard equalised with a stunning volley. We all jumped in joy like there's no tomorrow.

Till Konchesky scored the 3rd goal, we were hoping for the best. We almost gave up till the extra time. One of my colleague called the waiter and told the bloke to "kira boss". We all got up from the seat, and there was announcement from the telly that there will be 4 added minutes. We turned when we heard Martin Tyler shouted "Gerrard oh"..., we sat back again and we were stunned with the Captain's screamer.

This is the only incident i could remember , that i had almost left the telly, just couldn't watch any longer Reds losing. We kept on ordering packs of ciggy as the tense rises while clock ticking to the end of the 120 mins.

We left the mamak with smile on our faces. We couldn't stop talking about the game.
Oh yes, we sat till the cup presenting ceremony

An interesting fact that i found and would like to share with everyone.

Most League titles: 19, Manchester United
Most consecutive League titles : Manchester United (twice): (1998–99, 1999–2000, 2000–01) & (2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09)
Most wins in the top-flight overall : 1773, Liverpool
Most points overall in the top flight : 4997, Liverpool
Most points in a season for a top-flight team (2 points for a win, 42 games) : 68 (30 wins 8 draws), Liverpool (First Division, 1978–79)

yes this Liverpool FC thread. if trollers dun like wat we post here, just walk out, dun provoke ,

anyway coming back to tomorrow's game, it would be a morale booster if StevieG were to start and we end up winning.

To be honest, Gerrard should not be rushed into tomorrow's game. KD could give him a 5-10 mins on the pitch during 2nd half, before giving him another walkthrough against Wolves. I do agree with Kenny that, bringing in Gerrard will not change anything as we have fared poor against Spurs. Gerrard will not bring an immediate impact on the team but we know that he's capable of driving the team further with his captaincy supremacy.

Let's hope that he gets 5-10 mins warm up in the Carling Cup game against the in-form Brighton. It would be a tough game, remember. We will not see an immediate change in the team's performance, remember KD is rebuilding the team with new players and challenging for a top 4 spot , the least Champions League football, not as a champion, yet.

But believe me, the current squad has potential of providing upset scores when playing against big teams. We may have missed accomplishing that against Spurs as it wasn't our day. Let's stick together and try not to bring in bookies & betting talks into this. It's nothing the sort could change the game. I reckon, beginning January we would be there on top 4 or at least, as close as possible on points.

Let's hope our Captain fantastic returns with more hunger and thirst to drive the team further. He , alone could not do wonders as the team need to play together as a team and keep marching on and on..i would take it as this weekend, we are starting from the scratch again and hope the team to keep the momentum till the end in every competition. We will be somewhere at some point of time.

Thanks to the owners , trusting in KD and the team. I hope we could invest on more talents in the Winter Transfer. We don't need star performers, but quality and class players , instead. I reckon few youngsters from Reserve team would make an appearance into senior team this season. Raheem Sterling , one of them..

Just to share with everyone

The timing of this article may suggest that it is just after one bad match that I have chosen to criticize my club of support. The truth couldn't be any further.

It is true that this was one of the most exciting summer windows for Liverpool in a long time and if Kenny Dalglish and Damien Comolli can be believed then we did get most of our targets in the window. John W Henry, Liverpool's new owner, also backed the moves by providing the requisite cash.

The way the new look Liverpool begun the season also had its share of optimism until some abysmal misses by the players and dodgy refereeing decisions at Stoke left some disgruntled. Then came the Tottenham match at the Lane and this time the Reds had only themselves to blame.

Now, my observation is that Liverpool needed to improve on various fronts even before they started the season, and although some of them may not take much doing, they sure need improvement. I am going throw some light on some major areas where I think Liverpool needs improvement.

1. Improve Defensively, Putting Skrtel Everywhere Is Not the Answer

cant wait for tonite Carling cup game against Brighton!
Hope to see Gerrard to be put in the pitch for the final 20 minutes and for the entire 90 minutes in match against Wolves !
Gerrard would be a boost to the team.
*
Who doesn't..it would be an intriguing Cup match, to witness. If i were Kenny (if), i'll ignore to hit the panic button after a devastating week , as rushing Steven Gerrard back into the lineup could make a bad situation worse. Gerrard is far too valuable to the team to gamble on. Kenny Dalglish won't fall victim to a foolish knee-jerk reaction. Gerrard isn't in a position to come in and save the day. He's still recovering from his groin operation that developed into an infection. It's natural to look to Gerrard after a loss like this, especially after losing Daniel Agger to a rib fracture.

We have been waiting patiently for Gerrard's highly anticipated return. Give it a while..he'll be back stronger than before..
