I shave them once in a while to keep them neat. I've tried waxing, too painful for me. Some people do permanent hair removal with lasers. Depends on what you really want.

Never shave before, I think it'll be damn mafan and itchy, I can imagine how thick the regrowth will be.

I'd recommend waxing instead. I go for waxing, love the effect, longer-lasting too.

And if you got money, can even consider IPL.

How to shave pubic hair?
Get a shaver and start shaving.

And no, not everyone shave their pubic hair. Not everyone have lots of pubic hair. Some people don't have much. It also depends what kind of bikini you are wearing.

Shaving is not the only solution. There's waxing, trimming, tweezing, etc. Shaving is the most common as it does not have a pain factor in it. But it's not the most favourable way of removing pubic hair as the regrowth is very fast depending on individual. Some also claims that it will grow back to be thicker and more coarse. Besides, it will be very itchy.

The pubic area is also a very sensitive area. Which means removing hair can be quite painful and it will disturb your skin. So after care is very important to calm your skin and prevent infections.

Other than that, which part of your pubic area do you want hairless? Just the bikini line or completely hairless?
Shaving just the bikini line is peanut. If you wanna remove all the hair down under then that's a tougher job to do.

I always do, or its gonna turn your parnet off ( ;

It takes abit of practice in the beginning, it might itch a little too.
As you shave more frequently, you will become use to it and feel fine!

shaving can cause itchiness, and can be very irritating.

if you dont want to go for laser or too painful for a wax..
try trimming them first, it doesn't itch so you dont have to be caught scratching them awkwardly tongue.gif

Shaving is hell. You'd have to be a meticulous, conscientious shaver who shaves everyday or you'll be facing the godawful itchy regrowth.

I've only shaved once and swore NEVER to do it again. Right now I just trim it for cleanliness purposes- and it's not so bad, since I don't have that much- it's just very long. (Bear with the details)

There is IPL, though it's incredibly expensive and takes a long time- though the effects are permanent or you grit your teeth and bear with the pain of waxing. You may also want to try an epilator (electronic, you can get them at electronic stores), which is similar to waxing, but doesn't involve messy wax (just as painful, I reckon). There are special wax strips just for the bikini area, which are smaller and more narrow strips.

Don't know about you, but some people use hair removal creams on that area as well, though not directly on the vaginal or labial area- bikini area is still pretty far. But if you do decide to go that route, you have to so a patch test first to see if your skin is sensitive in that area.

Epilator can be VERY PAINFUL for beginners. laugh.gif
If you ask me, between epilator and waxing, I'd choose waxing, the pain intensity is the same but the duration to remove the hair is much shorter.

Wax strips that are bought from Watsons/Guardian are very painful as well. I find hot wax a lot more bearable.

The best method is still waxing but it's expensive to go wax every few weeks/months.
Nowadays, I DIY my own 'wax'. The method is call Sugaring, some call it sugar waxing but it's not exactly wax. Google it, you'll find lots of info. Very messy though. wink.gif

Shave will make your hair comes out pricky, btw if you DIY I think you will miss a lot of part down there all the way to slightly at the back also. Brazilian waxing is still the best.

Here I'm letting off a Groupon for Brazilian or Playboy Bikini Waxing + Eyebrow or Upper-lip Threading for RM35 instead of RM75 at Zen Soul, Sri Hartamas.

Hurry though it expires on the 20th. I stay too far away from Sri Hartamas so I couldn't make it on time and therefore selling it off.

Merry Xmas! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Pls email me at shinyee.lim@live.com if you are interested. I don't really know how to operate Lowyat forum and hardly come on here.

shaving will make ur pubic areas hair growth more. trims just nice and easy. as a man i'm using cordless nose trimmer (has included some options for trim other hairs too), i buy at Guardian alamanda pharmacy (if not mistaken). its cordless and easy to use. need only one regular battery. hereby i attach one pictures as same as mine.

WAX WAX WAX!!

However, be careful not to fall for CHEAP Brazilian waxing (shit job service). I have quite a number of bad experiences. It's best to pay slightly more for good and proper service/waxing. I recommend Glitters (Empire Subang, or 1Utama) and Sommerset Bangsar. I vouch for both places, though prefer Glitters at Empire more than 1Utama

I do not recommend Zen Soul.. No doubt, nice ambiance and situated in quite a posh area. I suppose their massages/spa services are good. But in terms of brazilian waxing, they double-dip. And the first (and last time) I went there, I saw hair (pubic?) sticking on the sides of the wax pot when I entered the room. Bought the voucher of one of the gezillion deal sites out there. Girl who did my waxing was not very skilled either, I ended up with red throbbing patches! I never get that when I did my waxing at Glitters Empire Subang.

It's just bikini line... Take out a razor, and just shave?

It's a different story if you're talking about pubic hair. That one, I'd recommend waxing by a professional.

I'm currently doing eLight treatment for my underarms. Paid around RM800-900 but it was thru Groupon kinda discount. Those group deals often have permanent hair removal treatment so try checking those websites. Normal price if not mistaken is at least RM1.5k or so. There are also different methods but I'm not very familiar with it.

Are there any hair removal centres in KL area that are having cheaper rates for Brazilian waxing? How about those home IPL/Laser Hair Removal kits? Are they worth the purchase? Sephora doesn't sell them do they?

go for Brazilian Wax. It is so much better than shaving eventhough there is no pain factor for shaving but your fears starts after your pubic hair start growing again. ITCHY LIKE HELL!

You can try out Furless Waxing in Jaya One, PJ. For first timer there is 50% off on your total bill. Check out reviews from Bloggers smile.gif

Sorry off topic. I will delete this post and apologize if it is deemed inappropriate here.

But I have concrete evidence that you are actually a guy. Seeing all your posts acting all girl like in the girl's club subforum really makes me sick.

Well, unless ur account is a shared account, I really dun think it is appropriate for u to post in such manner.
