damn, all coming to australia.... But Im going back for gd.
for those who have no more than 2 or 3 years experience in their field, i guess its no point coming over.
i graduated frm perth in 2011, been working in a very small company as graduate mechanical engineer, recently just got sacked due to the lack of projects.
my issue is I got only 1 year experience, cant get any interview opportunity out there
thing doesnt sounds too bad until i heard three of my frens who work in GHD, Aecom, and bhp also got sacked (1 of them now working as pizza deliverer )

so, for those coming in to oz, gd luck to yall in job finding as mining industry is not as gd as before.

Added on January 3, 2013, 4:13 amBtw, after reading so many comments, my guts feeeling to Australia is that:

Pros
1. Australia is an enjoyable place if u like a laid back life style, no rush, no anything. ( compare to sg n mas ).
2. You got human rights, you got paid if you OT. (UNIONs protect yr rights against employers, these unions would scare the hell out of yr employers)
3. You can earn 3x money than malaysia. Bring yr money back to malaysia, you would divide the price tag by three when you go anywhere in malaysia. I bet anyone working here would have experienced the same thing.
4. Gd for those ppl who doesnt want to open businesses. Small businesses are hard to survive in Aus. Too much laws n regulations. Payrate is too high even for a normal worker.

Cons
1. Lonely, no true frens. (all my besties are in malaysia, even GF)
2. Too KAMPONG. (at least its for Perth)
3. No nightlife (my nightlife 'definition' is mamak or dai-chao, im sick of maccas n jacks), pubs n bars are everywhere but i bet 1 day u'll sick of it too.
4. Racism ( damn ABOS r everywhere, huan gia are relatively better and gentle than them. Careful when they approach u, they'll ether ask
a. Can u spare me two dollars?
b. Can u spare me a ciggarettes?
5. Hard to survive if open a business. ( Reasons stated above)
