Hi guys,

I am wondering whether how is the Oil and Gas industry in Australia? Is it good? Are there vast vacancies for drilling or completions?

Guys, I am currently working in the petroleum industry for a year + and I have recently did the expression of interest in applying a visa for skilled workers. But it seem I am just lacking for IELTS (which I have taken years ago) and also my mechanical engineering degree from a British University (still accredited under the Washington Accord) to be verified by Engineers Australia. Any of you guys have any experience in getting your degrees accredited through Engineers Australia? I would like to know your stories.

Hi Nemesis. Yeah I am currently in Halliburton in Malaysia. But like you said, once I get my visa settled I will start applying. Planning to retake IELTS this end of the year. Sadly my IELTS from 2008 is no more recognised.
