Need your advice on the below two cheap amps ?
Which one can we consider buying? Only required to power component and a 6x9 ?
Thanks
(WTA) Low budget amp, Caliber CA-4540 and V12 MRV-F705

+1 to zennn's opinion..
these amplifiers might not be as reliable as the reputable ones.. lets say these amplifiers might cost you rm300. burnt after 6 months. then you would need to buy another amplifier, lets say another cap ayam at rm300. why not save up rm600 to buy a second hand reputable amplifier that would last for more than a year? |

that V12 fake amp was the 1st amp that I've bought since 6 years ago, and that time was the start of my "ICE" journey..bought it for RM180 and pair it up with 12inch Audioquartz subwoofer in ported enclosure (cap ayam) for RM200..2ch bridged to subwoofer, another 2ch connect to stock speakers..that time i know nothing about ICE, but the sound quality is acceptable and the sub can really hit hard when you want it to..nice memories

QUOTE(taaron @ Aug 27 2011, 03:30 PM) don't get too excited 1st..in later stages, you'll soon realized that plenty of $ flyaway and wasted, but you definitely will learn something on past experience mistakes and will improve it in future..it still depends on how demanding are your ears..hehe hmm...yeah..i guess we all will never satisfy with anything.. haha.. we will always want better.. rite bro ? but then im still confused.. at first.. i only plan with a comp + 4ch amp + sub... then smone adviced to use 2 amps instead.. then i decided to use two 2ch amp..to power my sub and another 2ch to power the comp.. now.. when i went to a shop..he requested me to get a 4ch instead of 2ch...so which means .. one 2ch to power the sub.. and one 4ch to power the comp and the 6 x 9..... |

no need 6x9 lah, fronts & sub enuff. if sub isnt power hungry then u can use a 4ch amp for sub & fronts. if u buy power hungry sub then u may need a separate sub amp, can be 2ch or a monoblock

My current set up is 1 pair 5.25" at front and 1 pair 6x9 at the back. Recently my 6x9 kaput already, so I removed them. When I switch on my player, my system sound even nicer than before la. |

Hi there kianmengw, thanks for the advice... currently i already installed my kenwood sub powered by Kicker 2ch amp.. But the morel component is powered by HU... so i shall proceed to juz add another 2ch for the component.. i guess i can forget ab the 6x9 .... Hahahah ... thanks again for sharing... maybe i can put another 2cents in here.. hehe.. in my opinion, i believe that getting a 4channel amplifier for speakers is good. even if you only use a set of front component and 6x9.. you can forget about the 6x9... can reserve the 4channel amplifier for front active setup in future if you feel wanna go active.. then you wont need to buy another amplifier.. its kinda saving money too.. hehe..
