I did. And what is the ultimate objective of having a Soraka going mid? AP champs are typically placed mid to give them gank access to both to and bottom, and after level 6 they bring CC and nukes with them for ganks. I've played against lots of midrakas before, you don't have to kill them to win the lane. Just let them autopush to tower or counterpush with champs like Morde. When it becomes a farm lane, other champs will have a lot more effect with the farm compared to Soraka.

Easy to kill? LeBlanc or Akali. Jump on a squishy with your combo and it's instagib.

I bought Freljord Ashe for the ubercool splashart. Now that has been replaced with one of the ugliest splasharts in the game and I'm stuck with it, and can't get a refund.

I actually prefer the China art for Frejlord Ashe. A lot of the NA players do to. Classy look no cleavage or anything.
I bought the skin for that splashart. The new Frejlord Ashe art just looks wrong, it's not my frost archer at all.

Usually, but not always. As you always seem to piss someone off on your team if you don't follow it and that's not exactly the way I want to start a game.

Sometimes we switch it up to kill lanes bottom. We send a AD Carry with as escape (Corki or Ez) top lane, so range is a natural advantage to start poking the bruisers down. But they have to ward not just the river bush, but the lane bushes as well. Bottom lane we run dual heroes with gapclosers (Example : Xin Zhao and Jax) to abuse and deny the enemy carry and support. The sort of burst damage these 2 can dish out after the gapclosers is deadly to squishy carries.
