304 is pretty standard stuff and not as anti-corrosive as 316. Some better sinks are made with 316 and thus more expensive.

That's why Sorento is much cheaper than Blanco. Blanco is using 316. However, whether it is good value to pay for 316 or not is a different matter. Personally, I do not think the difference is that great to justify the significant cost of 316 over 304 for most people.

True. But then again, what is 304 can compare against? Granite sinks? I actually love my granite sinks better than the stainless steel sinks whether it is 304 or 316!
