Perhaps u can consider the second pic of bubble counter with double check valve...to avoid the multiple connection on ur co2 systems

thanks ciohbu for clearing it out.....smile.gif

you replace 3 items(2 check valves n bubble counter) with 1 items(bubble counter come with double check valve)
so the connection

CO2->bubble counter(1 connection in, 1 connection out)->diffuser

instead of

CO2->check valve(1 connection in, 1 connection out) ->bubble counter(1 connection in, 1 connection out)->check valve(1 connection in, 1 connection out)->diffuser

1. i hav 1.5ft tank, im currently using eheim liberty 200 HOB filter, it the filter any good?

2.a) what is the temperament of Hong Kong lobster?
b) can it be in the same tank as shrimps or tetra?
c) is it hard to be keep?

3. im planning to do a diy co2. is it hard to be done?is it any good?

4. im planning to do a diy peltier cooler. is it do-able? anybody in this forum has any success in doing it?

4. how to treat thread algae issue?anybody has any experience?

5. let say im rescaping my tank, can i reuse my ADA substrate/top it up with same kind of substrate?
dude kurengak welcome
try to answer some q

1.no issue n depend what scape u want to, plus saw my fren using it for 2ft
n of cos the bigger the filter the better, its also minimize ur periodically maintenance task

4.algae q
just keep this in mind, cos this told by ah yee to me
ah yee is the towkey of na ss19 subang btw, u main pokok u takut algae ke? ? huhu
algae is good, is part of learning process of this hobby
i forgot the exact word from world reknowned aquascaper cliff hui, algae is trigger for us, if its exist in our tank, something is not right

5. substrate or soil
soil can easyly topup
substrate depend usually bacter 100, penac w n clear super fine enough
but if u took out all soil u can add this 5 powders
even amano master said this in kl 2010, is these 5 powders is a must? no. its for who want to see faster result, or in orther words, if u not patience huhu but i guess patience is the keyword of this hobby

oot im also luv tempe, especially goreng one with sambal kicap huhu

bro...
llooks like pogostemon...but need to let it grow first to confirm....
plant at the back is bacopa....

next pic confirm cabomba....good suckers plant but hard to scape with

guys,
regarding the buying plants, each of us had personal experiences and opinion.
even ah yee NA ss19, got his plant from farm(been at the farm and feel like kids in the candy store) unless u requesting him to trim form his display tank. the farm also use the same chemical as other farm and they trying to mnimize the impact to end customer.
I never deal with aquashop through his lelong shop smile.gif but i believe it came from same source....and aquashop never failed to satisfy me, he also provide a good service

for me, i usually didnt put the plant straight away but put in the fridge at the vegetable storage for couple days(this also might kill the snails) after that i will wash the plant and start planting
i also love submerse plant and emerse even more, so i never bother to get any form...even now Amano using his wabi-kusa(emerse plant) for easy planting

if u want to read Aquajournal wabi-kusa edition, see how Takeshi Amano plant it in his very big farm...u can drop by at my shop at putrajaya smile.gif

usually during initial setup, extra nutrien will exist from soil...to avoid algae rampant, use stem plant more other than slow growth plant like carpet, nana, crypt, fern, moss....cos stem plants are fast grower and easily extract the nutrien...

cambomba usually is on top of the list of the sucker...we simply put it in our tank instead of plant in the soil....once stable u simply can remove it from tank...

Hi Cute miao welcome to this fascinating hobby....

im no sifu but will try to help to answer ur Q

1. Several types of lilies in market...u got it rite there...BW, CADE & ADA, u might perhaps add Gush in ur list....im using all xcpect ADA since its way to expensive...the flow quality almost the same for BW & Gush since there are from same maker, for CADE the flow a bit tight cos of the thickness of the glass....if u want to feel the experience u r welcome to my shop at Putrajaya....
lilies also depend on on your canister....may we know what brand u r using?

2. co2 set depends on what plant u want to have, if u want to have low demand plant, its enough to have this booster or liquid carbon BW growth or seachem excel for instance.....if for long term n plan to hv more demanding plants go for set with solenoid....

others might add some info into this....

1. if the tubing in n out same size u can consider CADE, then GUSH then BW as an option

2. if u r away, u can push in advance....but some booster might harm to shrimp...but not yamato i believe...

how big is ur tank? and how strong ur t5?

1. the inflow about 6.5cm diameter, and the outflow is 5cm diameter. I would prefer those with performance rather than the green ugly tube. ^^

I dont keep udang. i scared of their legs..so many legs..yiii....

my tank is 2f and the light is PL-60
*
u can consider GUSH lily pipe then....since the inlet/outlet not the same size, bcos CADE came with same size inlet & outlet, or else u need to use converter if still want to use CADE

u can refer to my signature, for my online shop and liase with me directly to get a special price wink.gif

@sudo
ask for warranty if there any smile.gif
or u can use pvc glue to tampal...

yeah, well i want them(those plants)
but can they survive without soil? my substrate are jsut small pieces of sand+rocks(lfs cheap gravel+pasir sungai hehe)

*
since u plan to hv co2, u can try gloso but u must put iron inside the sand ADA multi bottom or BW boost A for instance
the thing is u hv to keep feed them with those irons time to time
