QUOTE(aw13 @ Apr 4 2012, 11:54 PM) Anyone here interested in Marvel Select for the new Avengers movie? Available at Borders locally, RM74.55. Figures available are CA, Red Skull, Thor and Loki. For the normal series, only Iron Man. Hey bro Aaron... u into toys collecting also? I thought you only collect football shirts. |

the wrecking crew variant is RM85 include postage... it's weird tat the normal is harder to find than the variant... in the west, it is the other way around... hope that all of these will be available once the avengers movie hits...

QUOTE(plastictemple @ Apr 23 2012, 07:34 PM) so far that is the case. unless hasbro re-issues them and toys r us get their stocks. i dont think independent retailers will re-order them since they have surplus sets. even the TRU, Target or Walmart at US doesn't receive the stock. sigh!!!what i do hope is that they bring in the normal edition. apparently cases of variant sets are sent to Asia and the americans are left with tons of normal editions.. |

damn... the same situation happened before during the first Transformers movie toys... the demand for Bumblebee figure is soaring through the roof... then inevitably, Hasbro overload the market with bumblebee... everyone is happy... I don't see Hasbro doing the same thing for Marvel Legends... just worried this line will die before the hype starts...

QUOTE(jokerjester @ May 28 2012, 01:12 AM) Yeah, I've just learned that Malaysians are into japanese toys instead of western figures. In the Philippines there are also a lot of Kamen Rider and other Japanese toys (Figmas, Revoltechs, SICs, SOCs, Nendos, statues, etc. etc. etc.) but most collectors lean towards action figures (DC, Marvel, NECA) and TFs since their prices are cheaper. Are you residing in Malaysia or Philippines now? Yup, it's a pity that Malaysia doesn't get as much stock as the western country does... I'm a Legends collector... i find it freaking hard to get what i want since i'm from East M'sia... have to rely on online buying... still looking for the normal wrecking crew... anyone have one spare to let go?I collect mostly Marvel Figures and Transformers (with some overrun DC figures and Revoltech thrown in). Loose Marvel Legends toys are really hard to come by here (or maybe I'm just looking for them at the wrong places hahaha). Now I'm worried about how I can get the figures that I want in the next wave of Marvel Legends. Good figures in the recent waves are already becoming rare in the Philippines. Actually the good ones don't reach retail anymore (during wave 1 of Hasbro's Marvel Legends relaunch only Constrictor and Klaw reached retail). To prevent ordering a lot of stocks that would end up only in mark downs and sales, toy distributors of Hasbro in the Philippines partner with a local toy forum to organize a toy distribution event everytime a new wave comes in. During this event you need to sign up first before buying and they have a strict rule of getting one fig/wave per person (to also avoid scalping). But if you miss the toy distribution event you have to resort to hobby shops with jacked up prices! Good thing I saw the announcement the night before the distribution. BTW, I've created a group in the Photography section: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2352991. If you like taking pictures of your toys post them there ^^ |
