Hi guys, new member reporting in...

Just got my asus N55sf yesterday night ^^

been up all night transfering files, doing backup and stuffs....

haha when u have gigs of stuffs to transfer thats what u would do...

gonna search for a big big screen protector and cut it out for the laptop lid...

u did so urself? or u bough the armourone protector?

my "ex-wife" is covered with armourone... haha
need to fork out another 100+ to protect this new one

will try it later, my friend offered to help XD

i need a keyboard protector...
cant cut my nail short and i'm worried i might damage the keys

not really used to the flat keys...
not suitable for gaming too...

luckily i had extended warranty, total up 4 years... but hopefully nothing goes wrong within the 4 years

i use my xbox360 pc controller for gaming instead

what kind o problem is that?

oh my... hopefully it would be solved asap lor..
so far nvr had any problem with my N55SF but i havent installed much games yet other than Super Street Fighter 4

hey guys, is there any way we can remove the pop up for when increasing/decreasing volume or brightness??

sometimes it works well, but sometimes it doesnt pop out, and just now, the thing poped out on its own

i rather have nothing show up than suddenly a delayed pop up disturbing my view LOL

isnt that going to stop the fn key to stop working?

does the media keys on the side work???

i mean, i wanna lose the pop up, and i dont mind having the function key not working... but i still want the media keys on the left side working

btw... is the screen brightness being limited?
after killing ATKOCD2 instead of a 3d pop up, a small pop up appears on the top left corner and it seems that brightnes doesnt go up after a certain limit

the gauge shown on the 3d pop up is lesser...
the 2d one shows a full bar but the slider just doesnt go up after around 70%

no wonder there's a big difference between this screen and my old vaio's screen

guess i will need to settle for less since i chose this model instead of the i5 version...
complaining alot regarding the resolution...

yesterday day while i was watching a a video, all of a sudden my laptop just switches off on its own as if someone pulled off the battery and power supply at the same time...

and when i boot it up again, all the sound produced sounded like robots and its very weird... spend 1 whole night recovering using the recovery cds...

anybody had this problem before???

also, my ATK seems to fail me all the time... This morning after getting everything to work again, i made a backup using Norton Ghost, after booting up, media keys (volume, mute, play, stop, power plan) all didnt work until i reinstalled ATK Package....

try downloading the ATK driver from the Asus support site... I had the same problem... its pissing me off

yes it works for me, so far no problem yet after reinstalling
