seem serious, please find out why and share with us...

there is a seal where the wire from engine go into the body, not properly sealed..
so the water from outside can go into the car...
honda already aware this issue and they enforced the SC to check that issue during 1k servie, and I just got the bad apple.. and they apparently didnt check it..

Btw, I just had an accident with unknown object (possibly tayar celup lori) at KM266 toward south...
my bumber kemek... cry.gif

Just got a Source from some performance shop that supercharged or turbocharger kit will be available for Honda insight as it is mainly for the CR-Z model, but also applicable to Insight as well as they share the same engine only difference in cc only. Hmm is that true guys?

QUOTE(mleongps @ Oct 26 2011, 11:05 PM)
I found a similar leak in my Insight to be from an unplugged opening under the left wheel arch passing into the passenger compartment for the wiring from the Honda Malaysia factory fitted Cobra immobizer. A rubber plug is provided with the original wiring but the installer did not set it in place allowing water run-off from the windscreen to flow down and through the unplugged opening into the passenger compartment. This has been confirmed by pouring water on the windscreen and observing the flow of water down the wheel arch. The opening can be seen under the left front wheel arch (towards the rear) after removing the wheel arch stone guard. The leak stopped after the rubber plug was reset in place. Hope this solves your water leak also.
*
could you please post photo and circle the respective location..
I think it will benefit all the insight-ers here and make easier for us to picture it... smile.gif

thanks...

p/s: btw I still felt wet over the passenger carpet (front) even though the culprit hole has been sealed by sc..
maybe there're some other hidden hole?? icon_question.gif

The shop is in Subang. Price is below 3k for abs material. Some may think this price is on high side, but i think you get different quality with different price. i found some cheaper price ones during survey, some material are not abs, some paint not match correctly and the shape of the kit not consistent (have to bent to fit and can see wavy / not-smooth effect), some shop workers have kind of arrogant attitude like dun want to do business.

I fitted front, side and rear skirt, plus the tail spoiler. surface properly cleaned and primer applied before fixing the abs with 3m double sided tape. the front grill was included, but i kind of like the original insight grill, so i just kept the black mugen grill without installing it. anyone interested of buying just the mugen grill from me? hahaha...

how much for front mugen grill? brows.gif

Most of the Insight drivers like to speed at highway....very fast...
*
Driving fast but still save fuel.. Why not.. =P But the scariest part is sometimes feel this car isn't stable in high speed.. Braking wise, sometimes overshoot, macam brake tak makan.. Need to brake, then release, then brake again.. Maybe because drum brake kot..

if u want more vrom then turn off the econ and u can see the rpm instantly go up at least 500rpm. what u need next is just press harder biggrin.gif

and overall the car is revving happily to higher zone just that the car not move front very fast. tongue.gif

if u plan to use it to save more fuel...i think no need guah...the econ mode do a lot better job liao.

i was thinking the same thing when the shop taukey explaining the benefit of that product...

thanks for the advice.. I think I'll go for wireless
but looking around few shop around jb, the cost of installing wire + lcd monitor may cost me around RM400 rclxub.gif
if wireless.... shakehead.gif

QUOTE(shaun1212 @ Dec 22 2011, 08:29 PM)
Got the same problem from first day took the car back. Loud whistling sound at 100kmh. It came about for a while and disappeared. I thought it was cross wind or something coz it was loud (definitely not tak, tak, tak). Maybe structurallly something different due to low drag coefficient. Most of the time, the sound is not there so not sure to complain or not. Every once in a while still got.

Hey, since everybody's so freak out about the battery, i might just start a company to supply batteries to all insighters after 5year warranty is over. Probably wont make money coz the battery suppposed to last up to 15 years or more. By that time the battery will be a few hundred bucks or something like that, ha ha. All chicken about nothing.
*
I thought normal for insight to have whistle noise... the wind noise became worsen after I installed door visor...
or perhaps your noise is differ from mine

here is an example of noise produced by my insight
feel free to waste 3:39 minutes of your life... biggrin.gif

by the way, in that video, currently I'm using stock lamp, will the extend/length of light shoot further with HID?
HID nowadays only cost RM1++ only.. china-made of course rclxms.gif

dude thats awesome but do you feel that the cars unstable at that speed. Any mod you did? I went up to 140 ++ but the occasional vacuum from the wind and lorries made me back off. The cars too light. Prefer heavier for speed

BTW, what was ur fc for that ride? Ha ha ha must be really good
*

[/quote]

stock.. nothing extra.. =)
car little bit unstable at high speed..
but I used to it.. icon_rolleyes.gif
and from my opinion as frequent traveller btw JB & KL,
some stretch of the road you will feel the car unstable and some wont..
maybe because of "angin lintang: thing? hmm.gif

and mostly, from KL to JB, lot of climbing...
so basically, when you speed up, you wont feel much...

and when I'm approaching near lorry/bus... usually I will brake a bit and hold my steering tight.. tongue.gif
vacuum effect is kind of scary... sweat.gif

FC? tongue.gif

That's fast man... fastest I've been is 165 like that...
Like others said, car feels light. Also, usually, run into traffic before can reach higher...

Also, if you're recording it for noise, it'll help it you off ur cd/radio leh.

Mine's pretty quiet even at 16x

driving alone... no baggage... icon_idea.gif
I should change to less noise tires then...
