Hi everyone, I got my s2 for almost 1 month now. Some time the heat really went up a lot at top of the screen where the SAMSUNG word printed. when the heat rise, battery consumption is faster then normal. After I restart, then it will be back to normal. If whn the heat rise and I was charging, seen like having some difficulty to load the charge (20 min only up 3%). But once I restart the phone, then the charging will be faster.

Do you guy having this problem? For those who never have this problem, can you let me know which firware your are using? btw, what is the different between firmware for indonesia, singapore, china and so on? Language different?

Appreciated for your feedback, sharing & advise.

I asked whether you still on stock rom OR custom rom now.? Not whether you're rooted or not..:-P.
The reason i ask is because
1) Some custom rom can make your phone rebooting out of nothing at all if you flash the wrong way (dont be suprise)
2) Some custom rom have bug that keep certain apps force closed. If this app keep on opening and closing then your phone will start feel warm and rebooting.

If you only root but still on stock rom then i suggest
1) you start looking which app/files that can interupt your phone system.
2) Or you in any way had wrongly uninstall certain important phone system app can also lead to this problem.
3) Try to change your telco sim card and see if this problem recur.
4) If you had any casing on your phone, try not use it. Some casing especially the one that cover your on/off button can cause it.
5) Do hard/factory reset.
6) Bring your phone to service centre for checkup.
XXKG is europe version but no chinese language. (got one that look like chinese but i think it's kind of japanese or some sort)
You can try download Google PinYin from market OR flash Hong Kong (not China.!!) firmware to get chinese language.

my phone still virgin tongue.gif , ori firmware & never been rooted...but hong kong firmware still 2.3.3, thinking upgrade to 2.3.4 since they claim better...

If you want to flash stock rom with chinese language, go for Hong Kong version not the europe one.

chinese isnt really matter for me, as long as the phone heat wont rise. i rather to flash to europe, but flash from singapore to europe will not harm my phone rite?

Not much different between 2.3.3 and 2.3.4. If you want better then wait for 2.3.5.!!
What did you do with your phone for it to achive that temperatures.??

It doesn't matter which firmware you use. Your phone will still release heat as long as you use it. No firmware can make your phone 'cold'. ~~ duhh ~~
P/S - Yes any firmware is okay to be flash except China one.

No its not normal for your phone to have 50C while in idle.
Normal phone temperatures while idle is below 30C. For charging it go up to 35C while playing games can go above 40C. And your phone can sustain around 50C without problems.
But having 50C while idle.? Better bring your phone to service centre for checkup. No need to flash anything :-P

Up to you my friend. The phone is yours to do whatever you like as you wish. It seems you have set your mind on flashing already so there is no point to prolong this issue.
Good luck in your flashing :-)

bad experience before this when send the phone to warranty claim, so try to solve it by myself 1st. hopefully can solve it & no need to send back there to avoid nightmare...
