break down faster. Higher fc. Higher maintenance. Higher power. Uncomfortable rear seat. Worth it?

depends la...if you're always carrying 3-4 passenger thn not worthed
but if 1 or maybe 2 thn worthed
but how high is the maintenance?
*
Highest among all. 12k alone for maintenance from new car to 100,000km like oil change, filters, etc.
It is a truck for power addicts.

haha...i saw alot of navara here in sabah
hmm...overall for value for money...triton is still the best since they give u 5 years free service
that saves u alot of money...u just take there, sit thn drive home only...nothing comes out from wallet
but if navara also offer 5 years free service...would it be worthed?
*
Still valid? I visited Mitsubishi showroom few days ago to check out their RA version. And i was told they are offering free first 3 service including oil, filter and labour. Not sure if still providing 5 yrs free labour.

The RA version kinda nice man... Especially the leather seats. But 2.5 only... sad.gif

Was just wondering, if the Hilux (both 2.5 and 3.0) is underpowered would a Unichipping or tuning the engine using AEM parts increase it to be on par with the rest of the 4X4?

This is assuming the warranty period is already over or the person removes the AEM tuning kit during servicing.

2.5 is underpowered, 3.0 is not.

Unichip can make 2.5 and 3.0 fast.

But a normal chipped truck can smoke the 2.5 very easily. Unless you are willing to spent a lum sum on upgrading the Hilux lah... Quite alot of stuff not compatible with Hilux. Plus they are little sensitive to play with the sensors.

Get the 3.0 if roadtax is not a issue for you.

Hilux has the looks and good for people who want tall ride with macho looking. (IMO)

Hilux-Looks tough,underpower,bumpy ride,uncomfortable stiff rear passenger seat,reasonable consumption.
Navara-Toughest and meanest looks among other trucks, goes really fast, high consumption, reasonable comfort but still bumpy, uncomfortable stiff rear passenger seat
Triton-Aerodynamic look, has that aggressive styling from the honeycomb grill,2.5 diesel fast enough for a pickup truck, comfortable ride for driver and passenger(good suspension),feels like driving sedan, reasonable consumption and also good braking system.
Isuzu DMAx-Tough styling, worse uncomfortable ride especially rear passenger going through every bumper makes them hop.braking sux, consumption the best.
Chevrolet Colorado?-impressive toughness looks to take over the navara but no details about this truck yet.

if i were u i would rather wait for chev colorado or just get 2.5 triton wink.gif
talk about lasting for 8-9 years?no one here can give a definite answer.all brands are reliable but depends on how the owner maintains their car

Chev colorado = Isuzu Dmax. Everything are the same except for the looks and interior.

DMAX brakes is very good bro. Have you tried one? True about the uncomfortable at the rear, but then most of the truck are also like that. biggrin.gif Tough suspension too bro. And also state of art engine with don't use timing belt anymore. No fuel hand pump too.

Regarding the looks, very subjective since it's all down to personal preference.

bro i tried the dmax.i stepped hard for it to brake but the triton brake response is really good compared to dmax.and how can u said all the trucks feel the same as dmax?compare triton and dmax, way way difference in terms or comfort and rear passanger comfort.the dmax suspension sux.

and how did u know about chev colorado like isuzu dmax?any links to this claims?
*
Bro, have you been to Thai and look at the Colorado yet? Only the difference is outlook and interior. Engine bay, transmission, and 90% of the other parts are all the same. Both 2.5 and 3.0 are the same, 4JJ1 and 4JH1.

What i meant is all truck equipped with leaf spring won't give you sedan car like comfortn. If it does, why would people still upgrading their suspension? Yes, Triton is more "comfort" than the DMAX for sure.
At least it is much more reliable than the 3-ton. whistling.gif

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_D-Max

Only the 2012 new Colorado which recently launched on this month has upgraded the overall and looks. But then the looks are still 80% similar to the new 2012 Isuzu DMAX. And in case you wonder why they are sharing almost 90% of the platform, GM has sold some of their share to Isuzu hence the reason.

How we wish Naza can bring in the 2.8 diesel Duramax. 180hp with 480nm of torque. yummilicious !!!
