I plan to buy 4x4 pickup and shortlisted to below few options:

1. Triton 2.5 auto
2. Hilux 2.5 auto
3. Hilux 3.0 auto

I plan to keep the pickup for at least 8-10 years.

Please share your experience on:

1. Maintenance (minor and major service interval & cost, spare part cost).
2. Durability.
3. Fuel Consumption.

And I wonder Hilux 2.5 auto vs Hilux 3.0, is it worth the 10k difference between these two pickup in long term (maintenance, engine durability, fuel consumption & etc).

Appreciate if anyone share their view and experience.

I'm from Sarawak, so road tax should not an issue for either 2.5 or 3.0. And in east Msia Triton only offer 2 years free service with 3 years warranty. Whereby Hilux (new facelift on Oct 2011) no free service with 3 years warranty.

Anyone know how much the 2 years maintenance for Triton 2.5 auto worth?

Anyone can share the maintenance cost for each interval (1k, 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k and so on) for Triton 2.5 auto?
