Anyway I balik after two days of working away from home and tengok la the muka masam. Apparently he had to resort to digging into his hidden stash. Note to self - need to leave out more food.

On the bright side, he seems to be okay with me hand feeding him but still is quite shy.

Anyway, his dinner is a mix of some Nutrifin pellets, rolled oats, chia seeds, Bengy hamster food (minus all those sunflower seeds and corn) plus Cunipic Naturaliss hamster mix. The hay in the naturaliss mix? He totally kicked it out of his bowl. Haiya. Cheeky.

Oh...how often do you guys clean out the cage as in replace all the bedding, etc?

Hahaha...I cleaned his cage today. It was interesting trying to get him into my guppy tank as he is still wary of my hand. Used a toilet roll to transport him instead.

Also discovered that he peed in the potty I put out for him. Yay!

My issue now is ants. How do I prevent ants from visiting his food bowl?

It's alright if you could handling it with extra care. Those babies with no fur is so... so... cute...

teh mom bite the new born because of the smell you transferred from your hand to the new born baby. when the mum smell something dif on the baby, their nature instinct will tell them that it is not their baby and should kill it / eat it. perhaps the guy above you washed his hand thoroughly before handling or maybe the mum was carefree.

either way, i dont suggest handling them before they grow they fur

My hamster - on the other hand - still don't want to go near my hand. I can put my hand in the cage and feed treats but it just won't let me touch it. O'well...I guess I should be glad it didn't bite me. :/

Go to several pet shop. Dont have robo stock. My house near ampang. Anyone know which petshop store have robo. and what the price for 1 robo? Saw in mid valley, 1 for RM40. 

Pls don't get from the aquarium petshop in Ampang. My first two hamster died within 24hrs. I went back to the shop n the guy just throw their bodies away into the dustbin.... Kecian

There's a petshop inside wangsa walk mall or petsmore in wangsa maju. Worth the travel as the hamsters look more active.

Thanks for the info. Lucky did not buy robo from the aquarium petshop, hamster cage very dirty. Pity hamster in that shop.

Bought 3 robo with cage for rm100 yesterday. Seller from mudah. He said hamster 4 month old. Selling due to his child busy and unable to take care of the hamster. Hopefully no issue.
