I called up RHB to cancelled my Visa Plat this week since I'm going to withdraw some funds thus having less than RM200K with them as required for PB.  Just got a call from them asking me to keep the card because the card is free for life for my case shocking.gif the guys said their system shows the card no annual fees until 2048  shocking.gif  shocking.gif  even if I don't have the minimum amount stated to be eligible for PB rclxms.gif Not only that, GST will be waived every year  shocking.gif  shocking.gif  shocking.gif  Don't know if it is true or not but it's a very very good offer  rclxm9.gif  so keeping the card  biggrin.gif

coz now rhb visa plat no need to have PB anymore.

but free annual fee is good already 4u, coz for others need to swipe rm36k/year to get the rm500 waived.

congrats ~

u said u always pay full statement balance.

then u give example with statement balance and also outstanding? how could that happen?
means last month already didnt pay rm1000 and swipe another rm700?
also, u give example of 7 days late? doh.gif

this should happen to cust who always pay full balance every month!

as for me, no need to know the calculation.

i did missed due date few times before (all hsbc! haha), but only 1-2 days. never reach 3 days. and all is because abroad (not at my hometown). this is bcoz i only have hsbc cc but no hsbc acc. so cannot make onl payment.

hsbc didnt charge anything, probably because got 3-days grace period after due date. and IMHO, they shouldnt charged, for cust with good (read: full) payment record since beginning.

Hi, I'm currently paying the installment for my car. I'm wondering, if let say my monthly installment is RM1k, and I'm kinda lazy to use cash deposit every month, is it possible for me to place RM3k in one shot, after that bank will automatically minus from that RM3k for 3 month? Or if let say, i left 2 months of payment, and I just pay in one shot and bank in. Is it ok?
*
err... wrong section here? sweat.gif

ok u missed the 'd' there.

if u dont swipe for other transaction, the balance of rm2k will be carry forward and yes, will auto minus for next month.

ur welcome. so fast u reply sweat.gif

but wait, this method is not applicable for hsbc!
coz hsbc, if u not swipe anything, then all 3k will be offset for installment remaining balance, and there is penalty fee for early settlement!

not sure for other bank, but hsbc confirmed cannot.

Haha, maybe I've used the wrong example. doh.gif
Actually i'm using credit card to pay other stuff, electronic gadget you know.... Just that I worry there is penalty fee for early settlement, cause I remember CIMB employee did mention to me that if I want to make the payment from installment back to one payment shot, I have to give the penalty fees of RM50 =____=. That's why i worry. It looks like... Even though I got money, yet i still need to pay it back slowly. Right now, I left one more month of payment. I'm thinking of just pay the payment this month, so next month i do not need to go bank again.
*
if CIMB then confirmed is ok. u can just deposit full amount and dont swipe the card.

Added on October 14, 2011, 3:15 pmif still want exactly amount to preset, then go pay inside at cashier.

ouch at 9% per annum...

or should i just go with Personal Loan instead?
*
do a BT to another card u have, it should be lower than 9%.

cimb/pbb/bsn offer 6 months 0%
cimb 12 months 1%

or, if u have another maybank credit card, can do internal transfer, 9% for 24 months.

but the other card must have enough credit limit for the amount (some bank got condition such as only 80% from available CL)

hbh60 already mentioned using mbb visa.

if apply another mbb card, internal BT dont have 0%.

if apply another card, will take time, probably cannot get new card before current mbb visa due date ~

yes and no.

yes got internal BT from maybankard to maybankard. see the BT form @ BT thread.

no 0% no 12 months for internal BT. as stated, 24 months 9% ~

currently my hlb gold mastercard credit limit is rm8k.my salary is around rm50k per annum.i wan to request increase of the credit limit.how much should i request and wat the maximum i can get with my this amount of salary
*
ask hlb if got form like maybank or not. usually bank no prob to give 2.5x salary for people earn rm36k/year.

maybank - http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/inclimit_100210.pdf

but personal opinion, hlb gold mc dont give much benefits? try apply hlb essentials?
besides at the website stated:

Higher credit limit

Your Hong Leong Essential Credit Card is the only card you need because it gives you a higher credit limit so much more spending power in just one card, imagine that!

and the card give 1% cashback unlimited too smile.gif

UOB case:
i tried before call up uob to request permanent increase CL without submit any document after use the card for 18 mths. my wife tried before call up uob to upgrade her uob one plat to preferred plat without submit any document too. thumbup.gif

Alliance Bank case:
apply for permanent increase CL by walk in, submit latest 6 mths bank statement for proof of income and was rejected even after use the card for 7 mths. doh.gif

So, i believe it is depend on cases to cases because every bank has different policy. hmm.gif  after all, if you really need a higher CL, why don't just give them a call to request increase CL whereby it cost you nothing... brows.gif
*
most people (ok including me), the bank just increase the CL notworthy.gif

QUOTE(virgoguy @ Oct 18 2011, 06:21 PM)
hi all

two days ago, I've just cancelled off my RHB classic which been followed me for 8 yrs long due to the incompetent offer and benefits. Today the bank called me up and decide keep me to stay with them by offering me NO GST, NO Annual fee and double up my CL from now onward.

So I really wonder doesn't it they overturn the GST rules been stated by government whereby the bank are not allow to absorb the GST for the customer?

The second question is, should I accept it or reject it? or ask them to offer me platinum card with same condition?  tongue.gif but somehow i still think that their cc benefits are sux(Note : currently I am holding OCBC Ti and MB2 Platinum)
*
1st, they not overturn gst rules.
usually u still need to pay the gst 1st and they will credited back rm50 later in next statement.
or, as Human Nature replied - they give u points to redeem gst

2nd, since u already have OCBC Ti and MBK2, actually u can just reject the offer. cancel the card.

why? coz the card got the annual fee rm70 (source).
if u ask for plat, the annual fee is higher, unless u did swipe rm36k/year with the card to get free 2nd year annual fee (source). if not, cancel the card before annivessary month next year brows.gif

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Oct 18 2011, 07:01 PM)
If you can indeed nego for the plat, and get confirmation in writing, no AF/GST or RM50 cashback with no condition, it could be worthwhile to keep the card for the 4x complimentary access to all Plaza Premium Lounges since it is not offered by your current OCBC Ti and MBB2 Plat.
*
AF for plat is already free for 1st year.
like i suggest above, if spend less than rm36k/year, cancel the card on the 11th month! laugh.gif

yes. get the b&w letter mailed to you. but the chance to get free plat AF for life seems almost impossible sweat.gif

unless, u open PB with them smile.gif

Gen-X,

UOB Preferred min income is rm70k/year.
HLB normal (not co-branded) plat is rm60k/year.

btw, why u stated PBB plat on higher ranking?
the visa cashback just little, while mastercard give points.
