QUOTE(wschoo26 @ Jul 29 2011, 10:20 PM) Just some update. Hong Leong bank card center called me today and waived my 2008 and 2009 annual fees. And they compensate me with a new automatic life waiver platinum card( i cancelled my old platinum card on monday as when i called and me the customer service in pj city, she refused to waive for me), which means i no longer need to call again to waive annual fees in case I forgot to call.Dont know got any'catch' inside...very scare with these credit card already don't forget that u still need to pay GST

QUOTE(wschoo26 @ Jul 30 2011, 12:17 AM) thanks for highlight it. GST also can be waive r not? or everyone need to pay for it? most of the banks will not waive it without conditions some banks need you to spend certain amount (eg. ocbc titanium), while some others will offer points to offset the GST

QUOTE(lalakidzz @ Sep 1 2011, 08:01 PM) please enlighten me on something guys, I had a Maybank 2 cards Gold since May 2011. That would be my first credit card ever. I would like to prompt for other bank credit card but almost all banks requires my card to be more than 1 year. It would be easier to apply if i provide my pay slip and related other income documents. However i have just switched to other company. Its a bank. I had car loan more than 1 year already. It is possible for me to apply another bank credit card with providing my current credit card and a 1 month pay slip as an income document ? Or otherwise upgrade my Maybank credit card limit ? if u apply from the bank you are working at, shud not need any documents

QUOTE(winner @ Sep 2 2011, 06:29 PM) Early this year I went to BNM to print a copy of my credit report and I was surprised to notice that my previous 3 credit cards with Alliance Bank which had already been cancelled for years were still shown in the credit report. I immediately made a complaint to Alliance Bank who purposely did not cancel the cards even though I had requested to terminate the 3 cards through written letters and cancellation via branch. One week after my complaint, I receive 3 separate letters from Alliance Bank stating the cards have been cancelled with immediate effect. This afternoon I went to BNM to get the latest copy of my credit report. And finally, the previous 3 cards with Alliance Bank are no longer in the credit report. I urge those ex-Alliance cardholders to check the record at BNM, as most of the time the cunning Alliance Bank would not officially cancel your cards although you have requested for card cancellation. As compared to other banks like MBB and SCB, my Amex Gold credit card and SCB Preferred WMC which were cancelled in April this year had instantly been removed by the banks and were not shown in my latest credit record. i thought you can only request one report per year?

QUOTE(hye @ Oct 21 2011, 06:09 PM) I did saw the earlier post and I'm aware of the suggestions made. (Which was highly shocking and inappropriate) I came in only later in the evening ... and I'm sure many had already read the post. (Sigh ...) The additional post contains quoted posts which had some references/clue to the earlier suggestions and I don't think we should be showing that for public consumption. Apologies if that unexpectedly deleted some of the additional comments as well. To everyone here ... appreciate if everyone could take time to bother reading the T&C of your card. It explains a lot of things you can do and should never do. Doing something inappropriate can get you into a whole lot of trouble. no worry, i suggested to merge the thread into general but was initially about to suggest to just delete the thread

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Oct 31 2011, 08:20 PM) I posted below question at SCB thread but everyone there is excited over the 20% cash back. To ALL: Does the SCB Just One still earn you guys up to RM600 cash back on a Friday? Yes Added on October 31, 2011, 10:24 pmQUOTE(stranger88 @ Oct 31 2011, 11:50 AM) guys, i really no idea how to calculate the interest for late payment. please help let say this month statement = 1k i pay 500 only for this month how much the interest (RM) will they charge me for the next month? (will clear it all next month) does it really matter? just pay what is shown in the statement wanted to remind you that the interest is high though, and if you continue to swipe the card, interest will be charged on new transactions as well This post has been edited by alexwsk: Oct 31 2011, 10:24 PM
