I used ServisHero once recently. RM60 (after RM20 discount for new joiner) for a condo cleaning. It was good, they are actually just middle man.

Just received an email from them with promotion code : XMAS15 for Dec-2017.

Without promotion, i think the price is higher than market rate.

Hi

I have recently employed an Indonesian maid to help in household but my mother has now agreed to take care of my kids and do the deed.

PM me if you would like to take over the maid as current waiting period is long and we can negotiate to share the fees.

She is very good with housework etc.

Hi all, just to highlight.. i do not have a good maid agency to recommend but i have one hell of a maid agency NOT TO GO for.

DO NOT and NEVER EVER engage this agency called Jujur Jaya.

THis is what happened...
1. Hire an Indonesian maid from them at a cost of RM19k. Why so much you ask...? coz they gave a guarantee i.e. if the maid runs away, they replaces the maid for you, if you dont like the maid's attitude, they would do counselling with the maid 3x and if nothing changes, you get to change your maid for Free they claim.

2. So it sounded very reasonable and peace of mind right..? Maid's salary is for RM1k but you pay RM1.1k to the agency every month which the RM100 is for them to visit your house monthly to engage the agency and for your maid to call home.

3. 1 year into the engagement, this mad had not even sorted out the work permit for me! Chased and chased for the work permit to be sorted but Jujur Jaya kept giving all sort of excuses. Imagine, having a maid but you dont have a permit for her.

4. If you get caught by the Immigration, Jujur Jaya will walk free coz the maid is in your house.

4. Hopeless team of staff - Jujur Jaya got one simple rule for recruitment - you got to be an asshole to join them. Their staff are all rude and does not even bother to respond to your call when you have problem sorting out the work permit on your own.

Bottom line - if you're ever looking for a maid agency, NEVER EVER hire Jujur Jaya. If it is not because I stay at Kota Kemuning which they operate as well, i would not have bother hiring them.

Hi,

My Indonesian maid wishes to take home leave in upcoming HariRaya. She wants to renew the permit with us which is due in May this year.
Please advise

1. what are the current procedures to prepare for her to fly home?

2. Are we the employer liable to pay for her airfare ? (she has been with us for 2 years)

3. Does employer need to pay bonus salary at the end of contract ?

4. We have fear that after all the fees to renew her permit, she does not come back. Anything we can do on this ?

Please help to advise. Many Thanks.

Interestingly, I am research about hiring a maid. So, I may be able to answer this.

1. The maid is a free person, she can leave whenever she want.

2. Yes. The maid expect to eat the salary as Nett salary. It's the same expectation if you are an expat hiring a maid in Jakarta. The agreed salary is the Nett salary.

3. You are required to pay the 13th month bonus. This bonus is to be given (with sufficient leave) for her HariRaya.

4. Indonesian are very indirect people. They don't like to say no. If they don't like your employment, they will not come back. Again, it's their culture.

Hi,i need help here about my filipina maid contract renewal and i have few questions too.  Q1: Should i need to renew my maid contract again for two yrs if my maid wish to extend? Becoz my agency asking me to do so.  Q2: May i get any other agency to do so because of dissatisfaction with the price they charge for(my current agency really cut throat). I did check with another agency saying that once we come up with first 2 year contract, and no need to renew it anymore except the work permit only. But without a contract in my maid's hands, she cannot come back here,if she go back for holidays. Confused.. Please help. THANKS
Ps. From malaysia

Hi ya, I am researching about maid (a.k.a. Foreign Domestic Helper (FDH)). So, here goes:

Q1: It's up to you to decide.
Q2: You can. However, do-it-yourself seem like a better choice.

The cost is RM635 to RM1441, according to some old sources from 8 years ago. So, things may have changed.

Breakdown:
Stamping at LHDN: RM50 - RM10 for "Personal Bond" form and RM40 for "Employment Agreement".
Persoanl Bond: RM250 (officially)(bank draft?)
Medical Checkup at FOMEMA approved clinics: ??? estimate RM200-RM300
FOMEMA registration: RM190 ??? unsure
The work permit inself: ??? No mention in the official website

Also:
1. Employment Agreement - It's contract between you and the maid. Any dispute is up to you to go sue the maid in an Indonesian court. You will need one because our gov demands one. What you put inside the Agreement is up to you and your maid to decide.

2. Your maid is a free person with a 'Visa with Reference to FDH'. She can come into Malaysia anytime as long as her passport and Visa is still valid. That's the theory. In reality, if the immigration officer is not convince that the maid is genuinely being employed, the office may ask the maid for all the relevant documents.
