Hi,
My Indonesian maid wishes to take home leave in upcoming HariRaya. She wants to renew the permit with us which is due in May this year.
Please advise
1. what are the current procedures to prepare for her to fly home?
2. Are we the employer liable to pay for her airfare ? (she has been with us for 2 years)
3. Does employer need to pay bonus salary at the end of contract ?
4. We have fear that after all the fees to renew her permit, she does not come back. Anything we can do on this ?
Please help to advise. Many Thanks.

1. The maid is a free person, she can leave whenever she want.
2. Yes. The maid expect to eat the salary as Nett salary. It's the same expectation if you are an expat hiring a maid in Jakarta. The agreed salary is the Nett salary.

3. You are required to pay the 13th month bonus. This bonus is to be given (with sufficient leave) for her HariRaya.

4. Indonesian are very indirect people. They don't like to say no. If they don't like your employment, they will not come back. Again, it's their culture.
