read books/internet about financial planning. Learn budgeting, control ur expenses, clear the debts (especially credit cards) before u learn to invest.

when u saved enought emergency cash with u. start with FD. then take 1 step ahead, live with the alienate financial terms, throw ur money into the med/high risk investment, (not too much) and start losing money. XD

losers are the one who run away after losing some money. winners are the one study from the loss and earn them back.

*yeah currently i'm in the "losing money" stage now. XD

FD getting better = bad for stock market and bond right?

wat i know is Singapore/Japan's FD rate is so low bcoz they want ppl to float their money on the market. since it's not an option to invest in FD there, ppl's money spent more on the stock market.

malaysia's stock market is so dead u hope for dividend income more than appreciation i guess.

IMHO, there is only one stock worth buying in the whole KLSE.
never try or even think about it before, but how can we buy stock/fund of other country?

unless i'm wrong, i think i read somewhere that Unit Trust company investment income ranking this year: 1. southern bank 2. OSK-UOB 3. TNT

according to 1 article, we shud ask anything we're not clear which just came thru/read thru, because making mistakes cost money but asking question're not.

so here's another question and hopefully it won't piss off anyone here:

we know the place for fd, mutual funds, stocks and option. but where/how to approach to the bond buying/selling? i search about malaysia bond and they always led me into bond fund/income fund only......

is it true that we, the ordinary citizen has no access to this high cost high volume bond investment issued between bank or company? but then when i read about the investment allocation pie chart (books from US again), bond is always there taking quite some space.

*about the internet scam: we're a criminal if we earn money from it; a victim if we loss money on it? lol

2. To use switch from one fund to another whenever there is dividend or split unit to be announced, so that it can maximize the ROI
zOMG i never thought of that. rclxms.gif the fund company allow the loophole like this? i though it'll be too late whenever we heard of the announcement coz they use the backdate calculation or sumthin, hence new buyer got no benefit from that?

if u can monitor and analyse market so well, might as well invest in stock straigtaway, lol.

correct me if i'm wrong:
1. let say i want to switch fund from PB Fixed Income to PB Growth. i need both account number, which means that i need to have both fund account. i can't switch to the fund which i never buy before.

2. PB serie fund can't switch to Public serie.

that's why we're only talking about good stocks . not the random stock that will never able to climb back the ladder after the crisis. smile.gif

my aunty got stucked with her 40k cash in 1 stock until now when since 1997 economy crisis. if she sell it now, she'll lose money, so she wait. (altho tat might be forever).

chinese tradition related stocks are usually good stock - licensed dai yi lung, licensed gambling center, licensed choi san ye center etc. rolleyes.gif

Bank make a hell lot more money when interest rate goes up.
since bank is a business, base lending rate will always > interest rate. means if FD interest goes up, the loan interest will goes up as well (i guess). further more ppl who dun do med-high risk investment will pour their money to the bank FD.
