Which to Get between the 2

Option 1.

Intel Core i5 2400
Asus P8G67-M
2x 4GB DDR3 Ram

OR

Option 2.

AMD Phenom 2 x4 955BE
Asus 5A87
2x 4GB DDR3 Ram

Provided both runs with Sapphire 6770 HD 1GB DDR5
And 500W CM PSU....



Seriosuly headache now.... My budget RM 900
This rig is for the coming BF 3.... i really dont know which to choose.
Can Anyone Help me? i need some answers + Reason

Any reason for option 2? and why not option 1?

Go for this , but atleast spend a bit more on a new psu.

Option 1 is only acceptable if you don't want to OC the CPU at all...
and the CPU is already acceptable for gaming.But it's a bit more pricey.

Option 2 is only acceptable if you want another cheap alternative for a gaming set up.
Especially when M5A87 mobo is upgradeable to a bulldozer CPU sometime in the future when you have extra money.

why you need P8G67?
you not going to overclock
so even HM61 board is enough
or DH67CL if you want 3.0 and max 32GB RAM
more sata slot and etc

i5 2400 is definitly better then phenom II x4
as i said
even i3 2100 can compete with Phenom II x6(in terms of gaming only)

I think 560ti SLI on 1600x900 can play on Ultra......i think...

Ultra = 1920x1080 with maximum settings
other then that is just High Settings

go for option 1 but downgrade your mobo because with i5 2400 there is no need to get that asus mobo...u are spending on something that u wont make use of it. just get a cheap msi or intel h67 mobo is good enough. with that money u saved u can use it for your psu. cancel out that CM psu....u will regret if u buy...get something like a fsp hexa or silverstone. psu plays the most important part in your build...if it fails all your other components might have a chance to go 'kaboom'.

well option 1 system should using around 306watts as minimum(via goldfries calculator)
while recommended is 393watts

Cooler Master Power Plus is indeed a troubled PSU
so does GX
try to sell em then
buy FSP Hexa 500w for RM159(again its budget-ed psu but great one also)
