It's hard to determine what's the fair value at this junction

Remember reading somewhere gov supposed to revise its sales margin (upwards) but was delayed due to coming GE. If this is true, any upward revision will go straight to its bottom line...

Unfortunately I didn't get the ipo.... Though recording low earning in q1, personally quite like its biz model, would consider buy from mkt...

Buy from market need to have patience. Don't jump in too early. Use your own judgement to decide if it is good price to enter.

They announced that their profit down recently. It could affect the prices. Hold it till GE and sell and rebuy.

If can hit RM3, fatt lor! I think I will set 50% of my holding at RM3 and the balance depends on market movement!

I still hold Maxis since ipo until now. Has been collecting dividend every quarter.

Hong Leong: 2.55 (PER 20.7 - based on EPS forecast by Bloomberg RM0.1230)
Public: RM2.24 (PER 18.2)
OSK: RM2.52 (PER 20.5)
Kenanga: RM2.42 (PER 19.7)
Alliance: RM2.50 (PER 20.3)
TA: RM2.40. (PER 19.5)
RHB: RM2.45 (PER 20)

Average: 2.44 (10.9% upside, PER 19.8)

"the much anticipated dividend play company en route to listing this Monday has announced a set of poor results-53.5% drop in net profit for the first quarter ended March 31 to RM34.54 million from RM74.41 million....The government regulates n approves the buying and selling of natural gas..In June 2011, the buying price was raised by more than 25% but the selling price went up by only 7% resulting in a major margin compression."

Gas Malaysia has to buy the gas n resell the gas but is subject to governmental regulations. It cannot simply increase its selling prices or the government will suffer a strong backlash. It does not own any oil and gas concessions.

Added on June 10, 2012, 3:26 pmMaxis is surely a far safer bet than Gas Malaysia. It surely has not problem maintaining its dividend rate for the next few years. What I gather from my IT friends, its mobile network has already been upgraded to 4G n does not need much capex.
Digi is only upgrading now resulting in a lot of subscribers unable to make or receive calls for weeks.

Fair value now is rm2.90 - rm3.00.....from various bank and remiser...

Lets just wait tomorrow, whether the bullet hits the target or otherwise... Or bullseye.. Pray hard every one!
